Excellent little machine!
Overall awesome. Haven’t had it long enough to know if it’s gonna give up the ghost, but so far, so good. Was able to accomplish exactly what I wanted it to. I bought it primarily to sew reinforced plastic to a zipper, to create a zippered opening for a greenhouse. The plastic covering was already installed and the zipper was supposed to just stick on, but the glue didn’t hold up well enough and needed to be reinforced. Couldn’t take it down to sew it, so we bought this little tool. Worked beautifully! Some of the loops didn’t pick up on the back side, but I think it’s because the zipper’s adhesive might have been gumming up the machine a bit.

Poor design, tough to use, breaks easily
This machine is very poorly designed. First off, just loading the batteries was a pain - the compartment is barely big enough, and getting the lid to slide and close was next to impossible. Next, the pressure plate is a pain to lift - and you almost need three hands to do that without at the same time depressing the sewing arm and stabbing yourself with the needle. If you can get past that, threading the machine is not too terrible, as long as you have decent fine motor skills and very good vision. Fine - that's pretty standard for any sewing machine. However, positioning the fabric to sew is tricky, and you really have to practice to even get a marginally straight line. There's no reverse on this machine, so you have to manually tie off the stitch and hope it holds. Lastly, my machine stopped actually stitching after a couple of successful seams. It does the stitching motion, but the thread does not catch, so it's basically just putting holes in the fabric. And after half an hour of messing with the tiny tension knob, nothing changed. So I was unable to actually use this for anything. It pisses me off that Singer attached its name to this cheap paperweight. I would imagine that someone out there can design a handheld machine that actually works and is not such a pain to use. I'd pay $40-$50 for something like that. This was total waste of $23 plus tax.

Great for Fixes, Terrible For Everything Else
So I bought this as a means to make simple caveman tunics for Halloween. This product is best suited for small fixes, not actual full-blown sewing. Within a few operations the mechanism that loops the stich below the footplate stopped functioning properly and without proper mechanical knowledge I had no idea how to fix to make the unit operational again. prior to that I noticed the unit seizing during stitching. It is easy enough to operate and the instructions provided were sufficient. Love that they include a needle threader and it makes knotting stiches very easy and intuitive. Fine product for fixes but don't even try to make something with this - it is just not durable enough.

Great for Quick Fixes—Even in My Popup Camper!
I bought this handheld sewing machine originally for small household repairs, but it’s quickly become a must-have in my popup camper, too! Pros: Portable and Compact: Perfect for travel. It barely takes up any space in my camper and came in handy when a window screen tore and one of the cushion seams split mid-trip. Quick Repairs on the Go: Whether it's fixing curtains, repairing a ripped canvas edge, or patching a seat cover, this little machine handled the light jobs with no problem. Cons: Not for Heavy-Duty Work: It struggled with thicker materials like vinyl or multiple layers of canvas. You’ll need a heavy-duty machine or hand sewing for that. Instructions Are Lacking: Threading was a bit confusing at first. I recommend watching a quick video tutorial to avoid frustration. Bottom line: If you need something simple for emergency stitching or light fabric repairs—especially in a camper or while traveling—this is a great little tool. It’s not industrial-strength, but it’s saved a few camping trips from turning into duct-tape disasters!

Get the one that has a 2nd lower bobbin instead, tying off the stitch is a painful ordeal.
Oh, I got this because it was small and I can just whip this out for quick stiches and throw in a drawer. So check. HOWEVER, you'll need the dexterity of a neuro surgeon to get your clothing in the jaw and to guide the cloth when it starts. The needle doesn't go high enough to get a good clearance so thinner cloth gets caught as the dial spins on tension (it doesn't hold well in the up position). Oh, as you're messing with that, the power switch can easily be switched on...so if you happen to be near the arm or needle, yikes. Ok...I can live with all of that and for a quick fix on an old pair of shorts, who cares so long as it is fixed, right? Well, here comes the pain, because of the "single bobbin" type of stitch you gotta tie off the thread or it will instantly unravel with a pull. It looks so easy on the video, but oh no. I had my technician magnifying goggles w/ light to even see the stitch as it was black shorts with black thread. Good luck getting to the stitch without an electron microscope and robotic arms to tie it off! Spend the money for the dual bobbin version that doesn't require this painful step. If you don't have perfect vision, the steady hands and tools of a electronic board repair person, and a third arm with very dexterous fingers this just isn't for you! I'm keeping it because I got it to work and it was cheap (and too lazy to return). Two stars because my shorts doesn't have a hole anymore and it is cheap.

Very lightweight but also very nonfunctional
This might work for low grade, lightweight, very stiff cotton, but for anything other than that, it's a no go. I should have listened to the other reviews. There is only 1 type of stitch and unless you follow the instructions exactly (and sometimes even if you do), the stitches come undone, I was using this to hem my daughter's Halloween costume and I was trying to save myself time so I didn't have to stitch it by hand. This was...unsuccessful. The costume fabric had some stretch to it, and this machine couldn't handle it. Because the fabric has some stretch, I couldn't evenly move the fabric through so the stitches were irregular and crooked. There is also only one speed on the machine, so it was a challenge to move the fabric through fast enough to keep up. Maybe if the fabric was completely flat and very stiff, it would have worked, but clothing doesn't work like that. I could only sew about 11 inches at a time and since I had to use 1 hand to hold the machine and the other to hastily pull the fabric through, there was NO accuracy....and then the stitches didn't hold. Very disappointing. I returned it.

Türkische Verpackung, schlechte Handgabung
Schlecht verarbeitetes Gerät, miserables Handling. Anders als auf dem Bild, kommt eine türkische Version an. Nicht empfehlenswert.
