Great alternative to the Brita branded filters.

I decided to try these water filters as a cheaper alternative to Brita, especially since they had plenty of positive reviews. Initially, I was impressed — the water tasted fine and everything seemed to be working as expected. However, after about two weeks, things took a turn. The water started to taste off, to the point where I couldn’t even use it for tea or coffee. To be sure, I did a direct taste comparison with tap water, and surprisingly, there was little to no improvement. My partner confirmed the same, so it wasn’t just me. What concerned me most was when I removed the filter and found green moss growing on the top mesh. That’s really not something you want to see in something meant to purify your drinking water. I’ll be returning these for a refund and going back to Brita. Lesson learned — as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

**UPDATE*** the customer service with my issue was fantastic, they messaged me (obviously read review), asked the issue, offered a refund or replacement. I could not have asked for more. They did think the batch may have had a problem for the kettle, I had no issue with these in my cold water jug. 10/10 for cust service :) Thought i'd try these. They fit the Brita maxtra perfectly. I used them for my kettle originally, i found that if the boiling water touches them (when it bubbles) then the drainage of the filter stops. Really frustrating and probably only last a few weeks. Not like the proper Brita ones, never had an issue with them before. So have gone back to the original brita ones and i'm using these for my cold water jug. In that they work perfectly, no issues whatsoever.

The filters seem like they work fine. Certainly they seem better value for money than the Brita ones. They fit perfectly in the jugs. Job done!

Im Alltag ist die Handhabung unkompliziert und der Filter erfüllt zuverlässig seinen Zweck. Positiv ist auch, dass er eine praktische und meist preisgünstigere Alternative zum Original sein kann. Die Wasserqualität wirkt insgesamt angenehm und der Einsatz im täglichen Gebrauch ist völlig unproblematisch. Gerade wenn man regelmäßig Filterkartuschen braucht, ist so ein kompatibles Produkt sehr interessant. Insgesamt ein sehr guter Wasserfilter, mit dem wir sehr zufrieden sind.
