GM Genuine Parts 12679099 Intake Variable Valve Timing (VVT) Solenoid with Seal, Retainer, and Bolt

I needed to replace this part on my SUV, and my mechanic told me to always use original replacement parts. Has been a while since he replaced this part my SUV is working great again

Cleared the fault on my 2010 HHR SS Intake Variable Valve Timing fault. Super easy to change. The old part had corrosion at the bottom of the sensor causing the fault.

Worked as it should

I was having an issue with my 2011 GMC terrain where after driving on the freeway and coming to a stop at idle it began to shake and run rough intermittently. It would also stall after initial startup occasionally. I replaced both the intake and exhaust actuator solenoids with these OEM parts. They are easy to put in and an exact fit. My car no longer stalls or runs rough and no longer shakes at idle.

If your changing this Intake Sensor make sure you change the Exhaust Sensor at the same time this will clear your codes make sure you use genuine GM parts. East to change, remove top cover, blow out any dirt in bolt area, remove electrical connector, remove bolt and using pliers gently grab the sensor a wiggle up to remove, oil will come out have a rag to catch oil, clean area, install new sensor by adding a small amount of oil and press in slowly tighten bolt and reverse step to assemble.
