Review: these work great and it's a great value! - this is a great value. there's a bunch in this kit. i cut them to the same size as a kit that i had purchased from home depot a couple of weeks ago. i'm able to get 7 out of each sheet. and the great thing is that they're double sided! so it's 20 double sided sheets! the gnats stick to these things like nobody's business. they seem to be attracted to the brightly visible yellow or something, because there's a tone of those little suckers stuck to the them every day. i like the material they're made out of, it's sturdy and super sticky! i would buy them again, but i don't think i'll need to for a while because there's a lot.

**Q: Does it catch bees? Or other beneficial insects?**
A: It definitely attracts and kills bees. Do not use on a fruit tree that is in bloom. I killed about 40 bees and only 1 fly after hanging it for an hour. I plan to wait until fruit is forming on my cherry tree before trying again.

**Q: Can this product be used indoors for flying gnats unrelated to plants?**
A: Yes, absolutely. Our basement was overrun by fungus gnats this summer, due to all the rain, I suppose. We have two fluorescent utility lights, that have the protective grid underneath the bulbs. I cut the traps in half, and stuck them to the top of the grid (underneath the bulbs). The secret was leaving the lights on 24/7. It was astounding how many gnats were caught every day, but I never saw one airborne after that. I also tried this with the newer LED utility lights, but the gnats ignored those.

**Q: What attractant do these traps use? Ammonium carbonate?**
A: None.  The bugs are attracted to the color.  The have a very sticky surface.  I quit using them when they trapped a bird.

**Q: Do these work to get rid of pre-existing aphids concentrations on the leaves of houseplants? Anyone? Thank you!**
A: Yes, I had problems with my outdoors plants that I brought in for the winter .... had gnats.  The yellow sticky traps help me with my problem.

It is an odd thing, but these are proving their worth when they get gross. Gnats in your face and on your food is nasty. Although it isn't pretty, after being beset with them, it is encouraging to see them on the card instead of on you or your food. I bought the first pack 4 years ago and then got more when they ran out. After 4 years, they still worked perfectly well in spite of their age. When I bought them, I read a comment that said you can't just rely on the color, you need to lure them. I use fruit, fruit juice or fruit syrup and just take a q-tip and dot some in a few places around the card. It works great! They check out the card and stay out of your face and your food. Simple, effective and non-toxic. Works for me.
