Vic Firth sticks are pitch matched at the factory. Ether Vic Firth or Sam Ash messed up on this one
I bought this set of sticks to try them out. These are Tommy Igoe signature sticks. I'm a fan of Vic Firth sticks they are both weight and pitch matched. However when I received this pair which Sam Ash provided, and pulled them out of the sleeve and started playing on a practice pad it became very evident that these two sticks did not leave the Vic Firth factory together in the same sleeve. The pitch of these two sticks are no were close to each other. one is low pitched and the other is high pitched. These will be relegated to PRACTICE-ONLY. I have never purchased a pair of Vic Firth sticks this far a part in pitch. Different time zones. I guess I should be glad they a both the same type on stick.
