This is a very nice bracket for patch panels only.
This would have been a great bracket just for the punchdown block. That was originally what I ordered it for, and it would have met my needs perfectly. I decided before I received it that I wanted to mount my switch inside a box as well, so I returned this bracket. The bracket was not deep enough to accommodate my switch. I had to purchase a much more expensive box which would hold the switch. This bracket would have been great for just the patch panel and a power strip. It is very heavy, well-made, and has a hinged side to access the patch panel. I almost kept it just as a backup for future needs!

Works great with the 48 port patch panel I purchased
Great little mounting bracket. I like the hinge on one side for ease of use.

Priced right solid product
Just received my 1U wall mount today. I was a little concerned because some other reviews said the mounting holes were 17 inches apart. This issue must have been corrected as the one I received had 16 inch on center mounting holes. Mounting hardware was also included. Solid overall product. Would purchase again.

Buy screws
Use washers when attaching to wall. Big mistake: There are only 4 sets of mounting screws/nuts. Need 16 sets for 4 1U devices. Have to postpone finishing my install.

Great idea. Now if I just knew what to do with it.
I really like this but am struggling a bit on how to make it work best. You can rack mount two standard height units and they'll swing out to make it easy to hook things up from the back. That's the great part. It looks odd hanging on the wall by itself and there's not a lot of room behind each unit when it's closed so good cable management is a must. They are well made and very sturdy, I'm just not sure how to place it. I bought a 6U data cage at the same time and that's where everything is going for now but I'm hanging on to this thing cause I know somewhere, sometime, someway I'll use it.

Holds up my network patch panel
I got this when I decided to redo my home network, I moved my patch panel from the garage to inside the laundry room, reran the cables, punched down into the jacks and installed it in a cupboard, installed the jacks into the patch panel and it works as you would expect it to. It is sturdy when fastened and swings out when un-fastened. Would recommend!

Not the most sturdy, Be gentle with this - StarTech.com 2U Hinged Wall Mount Patch Panel Bracket
Not very strong - BEWARE - So I bought this (StarTech.com 2U Hinged Wall Mount Patch Panel Bracket - 6 inch Deep) thinking it would be great to mount my Patch Panels on...Well it started out great. Seems the metal is reasonably thick and sturdy. However the welding on the hinge portion is weak and not good if you are not extra extra gentle with it. I liked the hinge part as I can get to the back of the panel better. However the welding job on this is low quality. While I was placing my keystones on the hinge area fell apart. Luckily I had some nuts/bolts and a good metal drill bit with me so I drilled some new holes and nut/bolted it together. (See photos, the silver bolts/nuts I added) Otherwise I liked the spacing. This unit came with 4 nuts and 4 screws which I used. (8 would have been better for my installation) I hope the manufacturer can do a better welding job to keep this thing from falling apart on future production. Holes on this unit lined up appropriately with my Wirepath Panels which I liked very much (sold separately). Painted black was nice and even on this unit.

This is a nice product concept (Rack with hinge) and is what I was looking for, unfortunately with some quality issues.. While I was assembling the rack, the rack did not have enough depth to accomodate the straight power cable on th e back of my router ( short by 1 cm) so while testing, putting light pressure to the hinge, half of the hinge was detached from the frame. It seems that the hinge was not welded properly to the frame or it was lightly spot welded. I needed the rack urgently and didnt want to return the item so I ended up fixing it by drilling some holes to the frame and hinge and using rivets to fix it. The rack was also lacking some vertical holes for cable managment so I drilled some holes myself.

Good product but could be deeper in depth. Installed a DLink switch and the electrical cord was tight go threw the opening at the back.
