Its vapor corrosion inhibitor technology penetrates deep into firearm crevices, forming a protective vapor barrier from muzzle to buttstock. Ideal for both avid outdoorsmen and casual users, this durable, tensile-strong gun sock also enhances protection for all metal items stored in gun safes or cabinets, making it a must-have for preserving your investment. ## Description Browning’s VCI (Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor) Two-Piece Gun Sock seals out moisture for both halves of your shotgun. VCI penetrates into the smallest crevices where oils cannot reach, driving out moisture. Provides full protection by forming an enclosure around your firearm from muzzle to buttstock. The VCI Sock, when used in a safe or cabinet, will offer additional protection to all metal items in the enclosed area. Some of us store our take-apart shotguns in two pieces to save some space (they can fit on a shelf). Or you might be transporting your over and under in a fitted or hard-shell case, where each component can be protected from rust or moisture throughout the trip. ## Features - Products designed in the USA with quality materials - High tensile and durability with all Browning gear - Whether you're an avid outdoors man or recreational, good for all people - Gun Sock - 2 Piece Gun Sock - Seals out moisture - Provides full protection by forming a vapor enclosure around firearm from muzzle to butt - When used in a Gun Safe or Cabinet, it offers additional protection to all metal items in the enclosed area ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0048KG7AA | | Best Sellers Rank | #95,882 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) #164 in Soft Rifle Cases | | Brand Name | Browning | | Closure Type | Tensile | | Color | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars (255) | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00023614019077 | | Included Components | Browning VCI Gun Sock Two-Piece | | Item Type Name | hunting-and-shooting-equipment | | Item Weight | 0.08 kg | | Manufacturer | Browning | | Manufacturer Part Number | 149986 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | No Warranty | | Material Type | Nylon | | Model Number | 149986 | | Number of Compartments | 2 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Pattern | Solid | | Pocket Description | Slip Pocket | | Shell Type | Soft | | Size | one_size | | Style Name | Utility | | UPC | 023614019077 | | Unit Count | 2 Count | | Water Resistance Level | Moisture Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Browning - **Closure Type:** Tensile - **Color:** Black - **Item Weight:** 0.08 kg - **Material:** Nylon ## Images ![Browning - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51JKiJ9mKhL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does it fit Browning BPS when it is disassembled in 2 pieces?** A: No this would not fit an auto that has been broken down. The gun pieces would be too long. **Q: My Beretta has a 34" high rib trap barrel, 35" with chokes in. Will the barrel sock fit it?** A: My Browning Citori has a 34" barrel with extended forcing cones and comes in at slightly less than 35 inches and the sock fits very well with plenty of room left over. My barrels do not, however, have the high rib, but, in my opinion, there is enough stretch in the fabric that the rib will slide in without a problem. **Q: Will this sock cover my 58" long rifle?** A: No, for riflo, have a special one piece for rifle sock. **Q: Why are there two pieces?** A: Originally designed for an over/under shotgun.... which breaks down into two pieces. I keep a long gun in one, and a sidearm in the other.
