Pump chirped annoyingly for over a week then quit. Pump died within 4000 miles. Made in China.
New pump, made in China. Pretty big pain to replace this on a transverse V6 in a Ford Taurus. At first start, the pump chirped. The car heated up and it quit. The next day, it was chirping pretty bad, pretty annoying and embarassing. It was loud enough people walking by in a parking lot would look at you weird. This pump change included a cooling system flush and new coolant and distilled water. Out of disgust, we just kept driving it as is because I didn't have time to tear into it again. It made the chirping noise constantly for about a week or week and a half and maybe 200 miles or so. All of a sudden, it went away and hasn't been back. No leaks, no chirps, so far so good. Hope it lasts 100,000 miles like the Motorcraft original. UPDATE. 8 months later and around 4000 miles, the pump started chirping again. Couple days later the pump was howling and sounded like it was going to lock up. What a waste of time. I just finished installing a new pump from the local auto parts store. Took me about 5 hours to change. Don't buy one of these.

Defective casting! WARNING!
Had a noisy pump on a ford 3.0 vulcan so I bought what should be the best pump on the market. Installed it and now I have an over heating issue. So I pulled the pump off and then I saw it. This offshore made AC delco pump had a defective casting! Water cannot flow through an opening that is completely closed off! Off to AZ for a duralast pump. I've included a photo of what it SHOULD look like.. Seriously disgusted with AC Delco. This thing could have cost me a head gasket or an engine.

Brand new in the box, great packaging. I haven't installed it yet, I will update my review when I install it into my 2000 Ford Taurus.
