Great book of music with the most popular Christmas songs. Definitely for beginner advanced beginner. I like that it includes the chords. I use it to play my organ. Very happy with this book. It’s a lot of fun to play these songs. I’m not sure these are all beginner songs, but some are easier than others. Some definitely advanced beginner or even hitting intermediate. The music is written to be harmonious and very recognizable.

My students enjoy this book! The arrangements are fairly easy, but students need to be able to read music and play with both hands. Timing on some can be tricky, which as a teacher is a good thing because I know my students are learning. I would call it more of an advanced-beginner book. It presents enough challenge to keep my students interested and the song selection is excellent. My students are able to learn the Christmas songs they love while being presented with some challenge. From children to adults, my students are happy learning these treasured Christmas songs to play for themselves, in church, for family and friends.

As a piano teacher for over 45 years, I always look for songbooks that I can use for my students that are both age- and skill-appropriate, especially for my beginners. I had the need recently for a Christmas holiday song book for some of my slightly advanced piano students that they could learn with some ease but were not too easy, and when I came across this one, I took a shot and was right on point. It contains many holiday favorites - some classics, some traditionals - and the arrangements aren't hokey! My younger students love that they can play songs that actually sound like what they are expecting them to sound like and their families love them, too. Highly recommended!

Good little book for an early pianist: needs to be more than a beginner. Good variety of Christmas songs with a little variation in skill levels.

This book was exactly what I was looking for. It worked well for my beginner pianist who has been playing a couple of years and is at a level 2. There are songs that are easier and some a little more difficult. The left hand is just hard enough to make it a small challenge but not overwhelming. My beginner pianist loves playing these songs and has memorized several.

Simple song to play

This is the first sheet music that I have purchased since quitting piano lessons as a kid. Since working with my six-year-old on her music classes I have gotten back in to playing around with music myself and decided that I wanted to pick up some Christmas songs to mess around with. Despite having taken quite a few years of piano lessons as a kid, I am definitely a beginner at this point. PROs: songs are easy I think this book is very accurate in calling itself “songs for the beginning pianist.” They aren’t so easy that they’re boring, but I haven’t had trouble reading the music or playing rough versions of the songs on just my first run-through. CONs: odd song choices; heavy on the religious songs and several unfamiliar songs There are certainly a lot of beautiful religious Christmas songs, but I was hoping that there would be more of the non-religious, bouncy, fun Christmas favorites. Many of these slow, somber religious songs are just not all that fun to play or sing and aren’t among my favorites at Christmas time. There are also several songs that I don’t recognize which seems odd in such a short collection. I do like that the book claims that the pieces are arranged in order of difficulty so there is the chance for gradually improving your piano skills as you work through this book. But this might be frustrating for a beginner looking to play a specific song later in the book.

I haven't learned or even played all the music in the collection, however I've found that the music that I have played is arranged beautifully. In addition, the music is simple enough for a beginner ( and believe me, I AM a beginner), but it's also challenging enough to maintain interest and, as stated before, beautifully arranged. Anther thing I like about this book is that it's easy to read. A different music book I have, the music is too small and I struggle to read it. Not so with A First Book of Christmas Songs. Fingering and lyrics are included. Yay! I am very glad that I made this purchase!

Parecem as músicas que se ouvem nos filmes mais recentes de Natal. Muito bonitas e completamente diferentes. E muito fáceis de tocar e cantar.

Il prodotto è arrivato integro e pienamente nei tempi previsti. Mi sembra ben fatto e corredato con immagini, certamente è destinato a dei principianti quindi le canzoni di Natale sono presentate in versione ridotta e semplificata.Comunque è un buon esercizio per il coordinamento delle due mani e il downloading delle canzoni è di grande aiuto in quanto si distinguono chiaramente i suoni e questo semplifica l'esecuzione sulla tastiera. Lo consiglio in particolare a chi vuole esercitarsi divertendosi, suonando qualcosa di diverso dai semplici ed a volta noiosi esercizi per allenare le due mani, o comunque è un'ottima integrazione.

Las canciones son bonitas, algunas fáciles otras no tanto, solo no me gustó el papel, se ve un poco corriente ya que las hojas no son blancas, pero en general bien.
