Superb Accessory for Fountain Pen Enthusiasts
The Ink Miser is an absolutely wonderful artefact, perfectly designed for its purpose. Anyone who has struggled to fill their fountain pen when a bottle of ink gets to two-thirds empty, will appreciate the sheer beauty of the solution which the Ink Miser affords. Some have commented on the price being too expensive. However, such remarks are otiose. You pay for an ingenious idea, perfectly executed in manufacture to high standards and shipped very quickly to me, a Brit, from the USA. So often nowadays one feels dissatisfied or fleeced by the supply of poor consumer products made shoddily. But the Ink Miser, by contrast, left me with a reassuring sense of money very well spent. Therefore, I commend this product unreservedly to any fountain pen enthusiast who uses bottled ink.

Useless Piece of Kit
Read plenty of reviews on this item before buying one. It looks like I received the wrong item, not the version that fits inside a bottle. As is this item is close to useless, its difficult to fill due to its colour, the ink level is incredibly hard to see. Once filled it is incredibly unstable due to being light, plastic and the base being too small. It would be better being glass or brass with a wider base. First use, ink everywhere. Second use I used the pipet … due to being folded inside the box for so long it had split, again, ink everywhere. All in all a bad experience with a useless piece of kit and good money down the drain.

Useful practical product
Very practical and useful ink miser which is suitable for the majority of fountain pens and dip pens. Plastic pipette comes included (folded over itself to fit in the box but still functional). The only area of improvement would be a change of colour, since the visibility of most ink against the black plastic is quite limited.

Basic solution
Possibly the most overpriced item I've bought on amazon. I am surprised that ink/pen retailers do not offer these for free. To fill a converter pen, the nib needs to be immersed in ink and, with wide nibs and small ink pots, this Ink Miser is a solution. But it's cheap plastic and is black rather than clear, which several people have said, would be better allowing easier handling of the ink. It has no heft to it , the base should be heavier to avoid tipping when dipping. I shall be looking for a more elegant ink well but this is a decent interim means of getting ink into a fountain pen.

Easy to fill large-nibbed pens
Good item and allows the filling of a large-nibbed fountain pen when the ink level in the ink-bottle is low. A slight downside is that it’s not easy to see how much ink has been poured into the Miser and so the clear one would have been better.

Functional
I mean, it’s a bit of plastic so not a lot to comment on. It does the job it’s supposed to do!

It's really quite useful if you have any fatter pens that won't easily fit in a sample pot or diamine 30ml bottle.

Hopeless and not fit for purpose
Hopeless item. Should have listened to the reviews. No stand or pipette even though they were confirmed prior to purchase that they would be provided. I did consider keeping as I have access to normal inkwell which would have supported this until I noticed that there are two gaps at the top of the cone, so the moment you filled it with ink and put in the nib, the ink would overflow everywhere! I'm not sure where the term luxury comes from. This is a basic bit of cheap plastic not fit for purpose.

Works great. The only thing I would suggest is to make the container clear or translucent.

Very practical item; price is quite high due to P & H costs.

Do you love the ink but hate the bottle. Just use an ink syringe and put it in the miser and fill with great pleasure. I recommend this for all fountain pen users.
