Is this reel made in the USA an NOT China

the 115l2 is made in china but is still a freakin awsome reel maybe not as much as the older usa ones but you gotta remember that it has upgraded gears better than the older ones that are 10-20-30+ years old when they used brass, brass wears down under load and the new bronze mix is alot harder, but you can get the newer gears for the old usa ones too BUT the 116l and 117l are USA made but cost 300+$ so either way your getting a very good reel , if you have 40-600$ to fork out then buy an avet or an international, just my 0.02

i am going to buy the 115l2, how much 100lb braided line do you think would be the capacity?

The truth is you don't really need 100lb braided for these reels. I just went fishing and the reel couldn't hold its drag with 80lb mono on a grouper. They are decent reels for medium size fish that you can catch with 50 to 60lb braided. The 100lb braided are for the higher end reels.
