Daniel (Ignatius Catholic Study Bible)

I've sampled a number of study bibles and a commentary and the Ignatus is the best by a wide margin. Dr.s Hahn and Mitch have laid out a volume that covers all facets of the scriptures. Their writing style is scholarly, respectful, and easy to understand.

These Ignatius Catholic Study Bible Guides are wonderful. Clear and easy to understand commentary. Breaks open the bible. Sometimes it is easier to read through the chapter of book first and then go back and read the commentary rather read both together. Either way a great explanation of the books of the bible.

What can you say about Ignatius. I wish they had combined all of the Old Testament into a book as they did with the New Testament. My understanding is they will eventually. In the meantime this as all the others are worth reading if your into studying the Bible. My reviews for the other will be the same.

I use this to teach a bible study. The footnotes are very clear and instructive. And the sample questions in the back of the book are extremely helpful in determining the main ideas and real life applications of the text.

Enjoyed Ignatius' understanding of biblical concepts. Agreed with his different points of view. Insightful.

These books are wonderful. Scott Hahn is a very learned scholar-professor at Steubenville Catholic University. He is a former minister and author of many books and even textbook. He also has a very popular series on EWTN TV. Well spoken and brings his subjects to life.

Finally, some really good commentary on Daniel 2 that doesn’t accuse the Catholic Church of being the feet of iron and clay that is destroyed by the Reformation. The commentary on Daniel 9 is clear and not full of protestant rapture theology. I wouldn’t expect anything else from Scott Hahn.

The book was bent in two in order to fit it into a smaller shipping envelope. It is still readable but creased covers and pages. Product good is as expected.
