This Book Is Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! I just received this book, and I was happily amazed to see that it large, and of superb quality!! The paper is of superior quality, and the pictures on every page are so beautifully done... I cannot say how absolutely impressed I am with high-quality of this book. It is far beyond what I was expecting, and I can't believe that the price wasn't a lot higher. Thank you!!!

Illustrations are beautiful and captivating. However, the terminology is sooo dated that it requires translation, which we really don’t mind. In interpreting the language, I also interpret the meaning, the moral of the story, as it were. A wonderful opportunity for teaching and learning life’s lessons. Each fable is only one page, so you can read as many or as few as you wish at a time. Super quality time. Would make a lovely gift.

Beautiful drawings and good tales, but be warned - the vocabulary was beyond that of a bright third grader. Reading it aloud to grandkids, I found myself paraphrasing as much as reading the stories.

Beautiful artwork combined with 3000 years (nearly) of tested stories. The Threenanger voted - read all of them all the way - and started again immediately Winner!

This is a well illustrated book with lessons at the end of each fable that is good for children to know .I have been giving this book to all families I know who have kids for any occasion or no occasion at all.
