Tom Fordの世界観がとても好きなので、購入しました。 届いたときは、その重たさにびっくり！カバー自体がシックでゴージャスなのは、さすがTFの一言。 まだ数ページしか読んでないですが、どのページの写真もオシャレだし、インタビューは一言一句読んで、TFの世界に浸っています。 もちろん！置いておくだけでもオシャレな部屋になるので、置き場所に困らないなら買って損はないですよ( ◠‿◠ )

TOM FORDの世界観がこの本の中にある。スーツやバッグは高くてなかなか変えないが、この本で彼の世界観を味わうことができる。

90年代はファッションがブランドビジネス化し巨大化していった時代。 その中でGUCCIとPRADAが果たした役割は大きいと思う。 この本は、90年代のGUCCIがデザイナーズブランドに隠れた「カバン屋」から「巨大ビジネスシステム」に進化していった軌跡を辿る歴史書といえる。 無論、写真のクオリティはピカイチ。最高級の素材と技術を使った最高の服を、最高のカメラマンが撮りおろした写真が悪いはずがない。 ストリートの感性とラグジュアリーが融合した、全盛期のトムフォードの作風は今も息を呑む美しさが感じられる。 と同時に後期の作風からは、リーマンショックを予感させる退廃的虚空感も感じられる。 時代の息づかいを生々しく映し出すファッションの真髄を、是非ご堪能あれ。

中身もおしゃれだが、部屋に置いとくだけでもおしゃれ。

新品と書いてあったのにボロボロの中古が届いた。

写真が多く、洋書でも楽しめるアート本です。Tom Fordの、いろんな時代が見てとれます。Anna Wintourというのも、なかなかわかりやすい本としていいです。

過去〜現在(Tom Ford辞任まで)、Gucci復活の大激震の有様をCampaign広告等の写真を見ながら再確認できる写真集です。懐かしい写真の目白押しです。思えば当時、Gucciの再建(脱、Gucci一族経営)にあたり、ドン･メロー(業界では超有名なアメリカ人女性)がGucciのプロジェクトリーダーに抜擢され、彼女のお目に掛かった中のひとりが若きTom Fordです。Gucciブランドの定番と言われてる数百アイテムをわずか数十点に絞り込み(これって凄いことです)、VOGUEやELLE等のCampaign Photoを一新して変えたのを皮切りに(当時業界ではかなり衝撃でした)、Gucciの大逆進が始まりました。成功の鍵として、ヨーロッパ文化にアメリカ人的発想が溶け込んだのがキーワードです(Louis VuittonのMarc Jacobsもそう)が、一言では言い表すことの出来ない大変な苦労があったことと思います。Tom Fordの残した功績は大きく、本当の意味でのシンデレラストーリーです。本当にお疲れ様でした。

ＧＵＣＣＩの歴史が分かる、トム･フォードらしいすばらしい写真集です。ハードカバーも最高！

I've wanted to purchase this book for so long now and finally we've got to a point in our house renovation where we could purchase it. It's a large striking book and really makes an impression. I have it teamed up in my grey/copper kitchen/livingroom area with the Christian Louboutin book and the Alexander McQueen book by Claire Wilcox. The Tom Ford book is really high quality, exactly as you would expect from a designer item. It came wrapped in cellophane to protect it. It has a hard cover with the same TOM FORD writing on the top as the book itself (see photographs). I haven't yet got around to reading the book as it only just arrived, however, it's full of beautiful photographs and will be an interesting read I'm sure. Treat yourself to this book, you won't be disappointed!

leí algunas reseñas y dude...pero en verdad admiro mucho a Tom Ford. es un hombre muy elegante y un excelente diseñador. es un gran libro de fotografía, te da lo que ofrece y además, se ve muy bien en el living room junto a tus libros de fotografía del tema que sea. Lo recomiendo si amas la moda y sus grandes diseñadores.
