Good knives for the money
For the money these are good knives. I give it 5 stars based on the quality for the money. Pretty sharp out of the box and a comfortable handle although I find it a little on the small side but for me it's not a big issue. If you have very large hands you may want to look at something else. Not the best quality steel and it requires frequent sharpening but it's on par with everything else in it's price range. However, it does sharpen very easily and I would recommend getting the KAI 3 stage sharpener to keep these really sharp.

This knife works well and holds the edge
This knife works well for at home. The grip is smooth so it is good for regular prep and cooking. It may be hard to use in a a commercial kitchen due to the lack of grip on the handle.

Great knife for for a great price.
First off, this is not a Henkel, Wustof, or Shun quality knife. That said, it is an exceptional knife especially for the price. This is made by the same company that does make Shun. I would consider this blade on par with a Forshner or Dexter Russell. The hammered pattern looks nice. The handle feels good in hand. The blade is very sharp & sturdy. I have been using it daily for 2 weeks in a professional kitchen. After two weeks of daily use, I had to finally run it across a steel to hone it. I feel it holds an edge very well. While it is not as refined as a more expensive knife such as a Shun or Wustof, it is a great inexpensive everyday banger, and if I lose it or drop it, no big deal.

Exceed my expectations
Super happy with this knife. Pro quality with affordable price. Compared with my other expensive branded knives and this one has a reasonable price but the quality is not compromised. The steel used is high quality and the handle is very comfortable to hold. A good buy!

Very Sharp
Extremely sharp, do yourself a favor and buy a cut resistant mesh glove or a box of band aids.

It's a good basic knife
It's a little light, but basically it's OK. It's a good knife for the price. My friend has it & likes it, too.

Nothing PRO about this chinese garbage
We chose kai for the warranty and free sharpening - but this knife barely lasted 5 months - porous, cheap chinese metal, will be throwing away the kai and going back to henckels.

Made in China of Japanese imported steel. Holds its blade.
So far had about 3 months, seems to retain sharpness quite well. Nice handle, grips well, overall no complaints.
