Christmas Spirituals

I LOVE this album. this may be the 4th copy I've bought. Not for others, but because every Christmas season it seems to disappear. Happy also that they keep the same cover. This is a fresh and inspiring group of Christmas hymns. Don't miss it!

This is one of my all-time favorite Christmas albums. I had a cassette tape of it back in the day and some of the songs on the CD I received seem a bit different than my original cassette, but overall, I am thrilled to have this music back in my collection.

The sound quality was excellent and the production as good as anything produced these days. This is a gem people should own.

I bought this CD for my brother and he did not especially like it. I think he likes the songs she recorded earlier in her career.

Christmas isn't Christmas without this album. Wonderful acapella songs sung with a true smooth contralto voice. Make your Christmas very Merry and enjoy!

I heard of Odetta by accident but it was a good accident. I enjoy listening to this CD. It brings the Christmas spirit to my heart.

I was lucky enough to stumble across the vinyl version of this record in 1962. Just bought the CD version. Odetta does an incredible job of interpreting some traditional Xmas carols and spirituals. It's a real treat.

Listen to this record to hear an incredible performance by Bill Lee (Spike Lee's father) on bass!

The very best of Christmas music as it should be - not jingles but heart felt depth of emotion. Highly reccommend.

All the old Spirituals I remembered her singing from the past are there. Some we can use in the choir...and that is a very good thing.

The CD is excellent and without the scratches that are my old vinyl record. It lives up to expectations from family who have listened to Odetta's Christmas spirituals every year for more than 40 years.
