HydroCell Kit For Truck

Bought this 3 months ago and was waiting to write a review until I could really tell if it was making a difference in fuel mileage. I drive a 2008 chevy colorado with a 2.9L 4-cyl, fuel mileage before install was 16mpg . Install was simple enough, and it actually took me longer to figure out where to mount the cell than it did to run the wires and tubing. Overall it was about a 2 hour job. results after install, using Potassium Hydroxide as the catalyst at 20 amps, came out to 22mpg for a total increase of 6mpg. Truck also runs about 10 degrees cooler while the system is active. Noticed water began to drip from my tailpipe and after sticking a camera into my exhaust it appears as the water created by the reaction has steam cleaned much of the carbon build up away. for maintenance, I drain and refill the reservoir every other fill up and add 1.5 tablespoons of the catalyst to bring me to 20 amps. a ounce bottle cost me $12 and should last me around 6-7 months. overall I am very happy with this kit. Originally If I filled up on monday morning I'd have to fill up again on the way home from work on friday. Now I can make it all the way to Tuesday on the same tank.

Hydro cell kit work good took a little while to install but gets great mileage

Very cheaply made and once I got it done it leaked from the dry fuel cell. The reservoir was just too flimsy as well. I called and emailed for help on too many amps, but no answer. The only thing I can say is the car seems to be running smoother, but not enough time to see if I have an increase in gas mileage. A funny story while hooking it up the floor mat got over the gas peddle and that caused it to over rev. Make sure you don't get your floor mat over the gas peddle! Mine is a 98 Crown Vic and the only place to put the thing is in front of the radiator, and this was a very hard installation. I had to make a platform to set the dry fuel cell on. You need a shop with tools to do it, and it took me 3.5 days not 3.5 hours. I am getting 64 amps and no volts, so there must be an electrical issue, but there is no help to find out what is wrong. It seems to be producing hydrogen, but if it is the right amount and hooked up right, I am not getting any help to find out. The book is not good, and there are no step by step directions on YouTube I can find for this particular one. The leaking dry cell was also unacceptable. I had to fix it with pipe dope around the leak, but they should have used that first. Very disappointing in how there is no one to call and no answer to any emails.

Firstly when I went to start assembling the water tank, the fittings where barely threaded into the tank, which is just poor design, made a new tank. Than went to wire it, and realized wire diagram instructions didn't actually corrospond to unit, or make any logical sense, as well as the supplied crimp ends don't actually fit the wires. It comes with a long winded booklet thats not really that helpful, and was probably written in the 90's which is a similar vintage to there website. Which doesn't really offer any customer support, I've tried contacting them in multiple ways and have heard nothing, so will be sending it back

I have just had my unit professionally installed and I have to say what a great product! I am getting an increase in my MPG. This is shown by the trip odometer showing X mileage to Y gallons of gas. Everyone knows that Y/X = MPG! I am getting a 40% increase so my wallet is losing less money, I was spending $100.00 a month, now with the cell installed only $60.00. I would recommend this option to everyone in America, okay Canada and Mexico as well.

[Edited 9-22-2016] This is great product with good HHO output. Check out the video of first time powering up the cell. [See below for some unresolved moisture issues. I'm working on a solution such as adding a dryer to the HHO fuel line.] Installation: I installed this on my 2012 Honda CR-V on 4-3-2016. Check out the photos. The biggest hurdle with installation was removing the front fascia of the car. Building the mounting brackets took a little work as well, but everything else went pretty slick. It takes a bit of planning ahead of time to figure out where components should go. The system itself is not complicated, but will take a full day to plan/install. For me it took a total 3 days of sporadic work. I mounted the dry cell on the bottom of the bumper frame, and the reservoir on the top in front of the radiator as shown in the photos. The car has not ran any hotter with this particular placement. I was curious if the air flow to the radiator would be restricted, but appears to be fine. [I forgot to mention that I installed a toggle switch under the dash near the ammeter seen in the picture. This switch turns off the system manually for maintenance purposes. To help with servicing the HHO system, I added brass air hose quick coupler & a brass 90 threaded connector to the HHO fuel line where it attaches to the air intake. This made for a better air-tight connection than the plastic threaded 90 connector. I may need to install a dryer to help with some experience moisture in the HHO fuel line which is causing some throttle body issues.] Performance: I'm still in testing phase, but have already noticed a difference in how the motor runs. The motor runs smoother, and has little more power only a couple weeks after installation. This vehicle carries a full load of large senior passengers on a daily basis. The first tank of gas took us 300 miles with 12.7 gallons (23.6 MPG). I'm confident that if we traveled with a lighter load the MPG would be quite a bit higher. I should have better data in a few months. [I took a +1600 mile road trip with a some canyons, and experience a +17% mpg above normal. Although I have seen a mpg improvement, the HHO system has cause my vehicle to throw some check engine codes related to the throttle body. The code says throttle body is stuck in default position, and the car has acceleration issues. I believe this is a problem with the amount of moisture the HHO system introduces into the air intake causing the throttle valve to stick. Perhaps adding some type of dryer may help this problem. I have found that cleaning the throttle body with throttle body cleaner temporarily fixed the problem for about a week before throwing the same code (while still operating the HHO system). Once cleaned the throttle body for 100th time I turned the system off and the check engine codes stopped. Unfortunately I've been forced to run without HHO for two months now until I have time to figure out how to address the moisture problem.] HHO output: I have not done a volume test, but I'm posting a video of the dry cell in action. The highest amperage draw during the video reached 23.1 amps, and as low as 17.5 amps. The amperage is effected by the electrolyte (Koh) to distilled water mixture. [Where I installed the 3 qt. reservoir, the system only needs to be refilled every 700 miles or so. Koh with distilled water has kept the HHO cell clean. As mentioned above, there is a moisture problem with my current installation. I turned off the HHO system for 2 months & I am certain the check engine codes are directly related to the HHO system. I'm debating on adding a dryer or simply abandoning the system all-together.]
