Nathan and Aaron Trueb grew up on a farm learning all about the blues and country music from a father and grandfather that both sang and preached the gospel. They both moved to the city to get closer to the music and Nathan's wife, Mirabai, joined the band as well. They went back to the city they grew up in and recorded this album full of blues, country, and a little bit of the city - mostly live, and on analog tape - and it sounds like it, in all the right ways. They call themselves Tango Alpha Tango, code for, ''Thick As Thieves'', which is exactly what they are.

primal & pure, distorted blues rock
3rd album from Portland, Oregon band who dig deep into the core of primal, distorted blues rock. The songs are pure twelve-bar bliss, with a genuinely impassioned rock grind that will rattle your brain and shake your soul. Slide guitars rip through the delta, leaving furrows that bleed with a intensely unrestrained authenticity. Nathan Trueb’s vocals & guitar work are exceptional and seamlessly integrated into the overall sound of the band as they move from subdued note- picking to all-out blasts of raw emotion. The sound is somewhere in the mix of Led Zeppelin, Coke Weed & Left Lane Cruiser. “Black Cloud” is a real treat for dark-rock souls who dig the real blues. –-Brilliant—

Great stage presence
Saw this band live at the Doug Fir in Portland, OR. Great stage presence. While the album doesn't have that same 'live' energy I'm glad to have something of there's to play when I'm feeling the need for some gritty rock'n'roll or blues!

Great Music and SUCH a FUN sound from this band!
I love this entire album - so much so that I bought the CD in addition to the digital tracks just so I'll always have it to listen to in my car!
