De-Solv-it De.Solv.it® Sticky Stuff Remover Gel Spray 200ml

This stuff is fantastic. I have used a different brand in the past, which did work eventually, but it had a very strong citrus orange smell, and was rather like WD40 oil when trying to remove it after use. But De-solv-it is just the opposite. I have a rather expensive pair of Japanese engineering scissors, which got completely gummed up after cutting some weatherproof window sealing tape. I bought De-solv-it, sprayed it on to the heavily contaminated cutting blades, and in the time it took to read the instructions, it had turned the adhesive into a milky liquid, that I was able to just wipe off with a tissue. Amazing. I am impressed for several reasons. The first is the sheer speed that the product worked. The second is the lack of any strong smell. In fact De-solv-it doesn’t really have a smell at all. And the third, is just how easy the dissolved liquid was to remove, it was just like milky-coloured water. And let me tell you, the adhesive from the weather-seal tape was not like Sellotape, or packing tape it was a very strong adhesive, like you find on webbed tape like Gorilla or Duck tape, that had the scissors almost glued closed. Highly recommended.

Very useful item to get rid of sticky residue. I used this item to clear away strips of adhesive tape that was used to fix netting around several window in our house. It was very effective however I did go through quite a lot of them and the run-off also interacted with the silicone sealant around the windows - so be warned it is strong. When using a lot (as I needed to) it does smell quite a bit so you should make sure you have good ventilation to help clear fumes. It is also helpful to let the spray soak in and do it's work before you then clean up and scrape off the target sticky.

Whilst this does remove sticky residue, you have to be careful what you use it on. Otherwise, does a wonderful job!

I don’t usually write reviews however this product was amazing! I had so much sticky tape residue all over my windows and nothing would shift it but this did and it was so easy to remove. My only criticism was that it smelt a bit but you would expect that. My windows look new again. I would definitely recommend

It was ok but didn’t work as well as I wanted. We stool snowflake stickers on the windows at work and they were so difficult to remove. This helped but not by much, we ended up getting a hairdryer on it and scraping off. Not something I’d recommend but I guess it depends what you need it for.

It really works! I had taped a Christmas wreath ribbon to the inside of my upvc front door in order to secure it,a year ago, and hadnt realised how difficult it would be to remove the sticky residue afterwards. I had tried two other removal products,with not much effect,then discovered this product with its good reviews. On the first attempt,it removed quite a bit of the stubborn stickiness. I used it a second time and everything came off. The front door looks as good as new. Very pleased
