Dependable Artist Tape
I bought some artists tape during Joanns closeout sale to secure pastel paper for painting ...what a disappointment! I quickly ordered some Alvin because I knew it would do what I needed it to: keep my paper attached the board, even after a wet under-painting, and not tear the paper when I remove it.

Just what drafting tape should be
I don’t really have much to say about this tape. I’ve been using drafting tape professionally for 50 years and Alvin is dependable for the things you need in a drafting tape: the adhesive has to be sticky but with less adhesion than masking tape and the adhesive shouldn’t dry out, the tape itself has to be thick enough to pick up with a fingernail by not so thick that a straight edge or triangle catches on it, and the backing has to be strong enough so it doesn’t tear under use by still be able to be torn into short pieces to hold the edges of tracing paper or film. 3M and Alvin are the most reliable at satisfying these criteria.

Works as it should
Have used this product for years in drafting projects. Bought this for my wife to hold watercolor paper in place while painting. It holds paper without damage at removal

Drafting Tape
The tape seems a little thinner than I'm used to, but it has been three years since I ordered some. It work fine on my drafting table, leaving no residue

THE BEST DRAFTING TAPE
I use drafting tape in my work. I want the lighter stick than masking tape, and more stick than "artist" tapes. I ran out of what I usually use and purchased several other brands that I ended up throwing away. When I got this and it is just like what I had, I wrote ALVIN inside the roll so that I will know what to order in the future. If you are looking for DRAFTING TAPE, this IS THE PRODUCT!!!!
