I go between regular glassed and prescription sunglasses numerous times a day and the hinges always wearout** A: if we noticed, all the answers that said no problem with the hinges are less than 2-3 years of usage. These hinges will break, and their usual life span is just about 2-3 years under normal daily usage. In some occasions they will break sooner. It is just the way they are.
