Wife's review: got it as a gag gift and it was loved

If this was advertised differently, then I perhaps I wouldn't mind. The problem is, it is described as a useful book of tear away notes for everyday occasions. This simply isn't true. While an effort to be creative is certainly demonstrated, it also makes these notes entirely useless. They are far too specific to be applicable for general use. In an attempt to be clever, the notes end up being way too long and wordy to have any kind of "zing", and they aren't even really funny. The notes make reference to specific details that would have to have actually occurred before the note can be used...terrible execution.As an aside note, these letters are very gender influenced. By that, I mean that they are recognizably written by women, to be used by women. A very feminine voice and perspective is inherent to these, which would be fine if this was clear before purchasing. But since I bought it for two guy friends as gag stocking gift, it made the purchase unusable for even a little laugh among us.

Wish it would be acceptable to really tear these off and give them out. Some of them are soo dead on. I may just hand some out some day

Perfect for every occasion! Just when I thought no one could out do me when it came to writing angry letters, this book comes along! Love it!

I thought this might make a good stocking-filler for Christmas but I'm not sure who I could give it to. It's very American and is rude rather than funny. It's also bordering on racist at times with some dodgy ethnic stereotypes, There are a few situations that strike a chord, such as dealing with a colleague that brings seafood for lunch to work everyday and stinks out the office, but may of these situations are just crass and obvious.
