Our dog loves this food, and it really helped her to have more regular bowel movements. She has great energy, and we noticed the change after making a switch to this food. We love supporting a small business, and purchasing American made products. We also love supporting Montana businesses specifically! Further, because the product is a consumable made in the US, we trust that the ingredients are of the highest quality to give our dog the best nutrients. This product is great all the time, and particularly great for travel because the air dried food takes up less space than traditional kibble or canned dog food. Because it does not require refrigeration, it is extra convenient for travel or on the go meals for your dog!

I think I have found the perfect topper for my Shih Tzu's wet food. She LOVES it but I can only give her a small amount for a bit. I think its because it is much smaller for her to eat. I put it on dry for the crunch & don't add water & mix in with her wet food.. Need to be careful not to give her too much as I don't want her to gain any more weight as she is 3 yrs old and 17 lbs. Only problem is that some of the food is in big chunks & so hard that I can't break down & have to put in hot water for a bit. The rest of it is almost 'dust'.

Ocean is the world’s pickiest eater. When I say that she devoured her food when I sprinkle this on top of her normal kibble and canned food she completely licked the bowl clean. It looks like shredded, fresh beef jerky so no wonder she loves it. I love that it’s made with whole food ingredients and it’s healthy for her. It’s rare to find a dog food completely sourced in the United States from small farmers and ranchers. The sample size is perfect to find if you want to purchase the full size.

My dog suffers from “kibble boredom”. My 80lb, used to be someone’s “lawn ornament”, former shelter dog, former foster dog, now forever dog is so darn picky! I’ve had to put him on a calorie reduced diet due to his constant demand of food, and weight gain. This food sprinkled on top is enough to get him to eat, without going over his caloric needs. It’s a much better value than doing all fresh cooked for him.

The ingredients are good however half the bag is filled with large very hard pieces of the food that a small dog would never be able to eat. You would have to put them in an electric blender prior to adding them to your dogs bowl. This product is made to sprinkle over your dogs regular food so it should be packaged as such.

I have a senior husky who lost a ton of weight in the past year who began refusing his food again until we ordered this and it arrived in the mail. I would add a scoop or so to his food as a topper and he began eating again!!! We also have a German shepherd who would constantly get jealous of the huskies food scoop so we began adding it to his food too. If you’re having a picky eater, or a dog you’re trying to get some extra nutrients and calories into, I highly recommend this.

The food was liked by my dog, but I did not like the fact that it was mostly dust. I guess it would be all right as a topper, as long as the dog didn’t breathe it in. There was so little in the sample pack I couldn’t experiment with it by re hydrating it. It seemed too pricey to try more. I would not call it a quality product either. As far as smell goes, it’s dog food, therefore not appetizing to me. If I have to rehydrate it, that makes it not as easy as other choices. I’m going to keep looking.

Great food choice. Limited healthy ingredients and my dog loves the flavor. Even my fussy granddog loves it. The only issue is that there are some larger, very hard chunks that I try to break apart ahead of time because I'm not sure my dog could chew through them. And they're difficult for me to break apart with a fork. Food processor works though. I use this as a topper.
