Just like any other Hawkins futura product, this is designed for efficient cooking and is very practical without any unnecessarily fancy stuff. We use it everyday for cooking vegetable/leafy curries, and sometimes for pulaos. pros: 1. The material is very conducive and the thickness is neither too heavy or too thin. As a result the vessel gets hot very fast and, at the same time, doesn't burn food. 2. The shape condenses heat and cooks fast. Great if you want moist and soft output. Not ideal for frying. Cons: 1. Water on the lid is a great technique for slow cooking, but this lid is not very conveneint to pour water 2. The lid develops a scale after evaporating the water on it if the water you use is hard

Perfect for Indian style of cooking
If you like to cook on low flame and get you vegetable or meat cook with its own juices and bring the essential roast to the dish than this is the perfect solution. I have tried cook most of the Indian vegetable recipes and has come out delicious. Highly recommend the product and has been designed for Indian handई (हांडी ) cooking.
