The monitor is good but the screen has a lot of light bleed around it. Not happy.

Starting with its build, the monitor feels robust, and the stand, while slightly heavy, ensures that it remains stable, which is important for those who require precision in their work, such as 3D artists like myself. In terms of display, it’s a standout performer. The 1440p resolution on an IPS panel, combined with a 180Hz refresh rate, makes gaming buttery smooth, delivering a crisp and immersive experience. The G-Sync compatibility with Adaptive Sync technology further elevates the gaming experience, reducing screen tearing and ensuring fluidity in fast-paced games. One of the most impressive aspects of this monitor is its Quantum Dot technology, which produces stunning colors. The DCI-P3 wide color gamut is particularly beneficial for content creators, ensuring accurate and vibrant colors, and making it great for professional use. The contrast ratio is excellent, outperforming others in its price range, and HDR support adds another layer of depth when watching movies or gaming. As a 3D Digital Artist, I’m thoroughly impressed by how content looks on this display. Every detail is sharp, and the colors pop, which has made my workflow more enjoyable and precise. Having previously used an MSI Optix 1080p monitor, which I was already happy with, this upgrade has surpassed my expectations. MSI MAG 274QRF QD E2 This is an outstanding monitor by MSI. The picture quality is amazing. It's Quantum Dot technology really gives this monitor a massive coverage of all colour gamuts. It does not need calibrating out of the box as the settings are very close to being perfect. Just set Gaming to User, Professional to sRGB, Colour Temperature to Normal, response times via three overdrive profiles to Fast, and active Adaptative Sync if you have a fairly modern GPU. Then Windows settings, set display to 180hz and it's good to go. I really love the fact that its a plug and go monitor, no messing about to get a good picture. I choose this monitor due to it's Quantum Dot tech, it has a 180hz refresh rate and it's a 2560x1440 resolution. This monitor has really blown me away. I researched a lot of other monitors and this one really stood out. Hardware Unboxed (Monitors Unboxed) has a really good review of the 1st gen version. This is the second gen with a higher brightness of 400 cd/m² and a higher refresh rate of 180hz. What impressed me the most is when I'm gaming. The colours make everything look so vivid and the 180hz refresh rate and brightness make my experience move immersive. This is one of the best non OLED monitors currently on the market. The monitor, in my opinion does not have any downsides. It's priced very reasonably, and has a lot of features that true hardcore gamers would love. For me it's a really good monitor that satisfies all my needs, emails, office work, streaming and gaming.

The monitor was easy to to install on the stand. When I had is set to fastest for response time the image get a little blurry on some fine detail in games but putting it on fast fixed that so no image quality issues. HDR is a good basic hdr so games look a bit brighter and darker depending on the game and your settings. I can get 170hz but my amd gpu driver and windows 11 have the driver issue when it's set to 170hz, so it's kept at 144hz which looks great and no issues at all. It gives off a fair amount of heat in HDR mode though, which will be fine in winter. The OSD menu is simple even to navigate and you can use whichever mode with a few clicks through the menu. Overall very impressed for the price I got it at on prime deal(£190).

The MSI MAG 34CQP QD-OLED monitor is an absolute game-changer, especially coming from 27 inch. The curved display provides an immersive viewing experience, whether gaming or multitasking - I used it for both - big plus that I can use the KVM function. Coming from VA, the QD-OLED technology delivers vibrant colors, deep blacks, and impressive contrast, making visuals pop like never before. With the 175Hz refresh rate and 0.1ms response time, gameplay is buttery smooth and highly responsive. The monitor’s build quality feels good, looks durable, but time will tell. The addition of HDR support elevates movies and games, delivering incredible detail in both bright and dark scenes. I think it's a very good choice for the home office, particularly if you're also gaming on it. The MSI Care feature is a big plus when doing office work, reducing burn-in risk.
