It doesn’t work
Mosquitos literally dancing around the thing laughing / using the UV light as a disco-ball.

If you’re like me and want fewer bugs without the obnoxious zap-pop-sizzle soundtrack, this DynaTrap DT1130-GRSR is a summer sanity-saver. I’ve been using it for a bit now and have absolutely noticed a reduction in mosquitoes, gnats, and flying pests around the yard. It runs quietly, draws the bugs in, and does its thing without drawing attention—or making you jump every time it zaps something (because it doesn’t!). It's super easy to use, just plug it in. Cleaning is a breeze, just open the door at the bottom. I have mine hung on a shepherd hook, I just unplug it and empty it over a trash can. Color: The dark green is perfect—it blends seamlessly with trees, plants, or patio décor. Durability: The unit feels sturdy and well made—like it’s built to outlast a full season and then some. Effectiveness: The UV light works well as a lure, and the fan pulls bugs in without noise or smell. Coverage: Designed for up to ½ acre, it’s great for backyards, patios, and garden areas. Bonus: It’s a great alternative to traditional bug zappers if you’re not a fan of flying sparks or fried-moth smell. Cons? Not many, but a few things to note: – It needs power access (not solar), so plan placement near an outlet. – Like all traps, it takes some time to really see the full effect—but it’s working. – You’ll want to clean the trap regularly for peak performance. Bottom line: It's a good value for the money, quiet, clean, and effective. For folks who want to reclaim their yard from summer pests without the drama.

It works, finally! A big remover for the hot summer month. I have for sure noticed a decrease in mosquitoes. It does capture them well and hold them inside alive. The one thing I never thought of, though it catches them it also attracts more bugs because of the up light. I haven’t noticed an issue but I have noticed more bugs but they do get caught. It is very pretty to look at and you don’t hear a zapping every two seconds which is nice. I don’t love the push on/off button it’s a bit hard to press when it’s hanging. Wish it came with a remote or easier way to turn off, especially if it’s hanging a ways from the area. The cord too is also very short. We needed an extension cord which I don’t love because it doesn’t look great, and was an extra purchase. Other than this it’s amazing. I will be getting one for my parents home. I leave it on 24hrs and shut it off during storms. I would remember the bugs don’t die right away. They are alive inside and are only being caught. So discarding should be done at a distance from the location being used. If the fan or machine is turned off I am not sure if they can get out because the fan and flap is not functioning. I love the color green as it blends nicely. Thick black cord to plug in and easy instructions. Good brand and well known. I love that you can get a RP light if necessary which helps. It is a nice size and covers about 1/2 acre which is perfect for our Apt balcony. It was a great value and on sale which was nice. Thought was hard to tell the difference of the other models outside of the coverage of area.

Works great. I couldn’t believe the amt of mosquitoes in it after a few days

I like the fan trap alternative, it’s much quieter, maybe less fulfilling than hearing zaps. But now they can die in a cage slowly >:D Idk how they think the cage can keep no see ums. Tiny 3mm gnats can climb right out. I also think the seller is fantasizing that wasps/hornets can get caught by it. If thats truly the case, I’m going to try using this thing as a paper shredder. The cage is kept closed by lightly counter balanced flaps. If you tip the trap, the flaps open, and you are greeted by a tsunami of blood locusts. The trap is top heavy so god forbid you knock it over after imprisoning your green belt ankle biters. Ive been running this indoors and it works well at night when all the lights are off. God forbid the wind kicks it over at night. I tested this out in an infested area outside, it tipped over in my car on the way back home. Should’ve freakin emptied it. BLOODY HELL. My dad thought I was cruel for buying this. I swear he hinted that I should CATCH AND RELEASE mosquitoes. Absolutely.. NOT. Worth a buy if you want something safer to touch. If it REALLY DOES catch hornets, bring pepper spray.
