Cool and functional
Great clamp. I purchased it simply because it looks cool. Well it turns out it’s functional too. I’m using it to clamp a desk lamp down to my desk since the base is way too unbalanced. Real easy to use and holds just as good as it looks.

Budget clamp that makes a quality overhead setup possible.
I bought this clamp to create top-down/flat lay videos for YouTube. I like to unbox things or show myself drawing/painting. Using this clamp attached to a wall shelf, I am able to record myself with a birds-eye view. Before, I was using a tripod with a horizontal bar attached. No matter what I tried, I was never able to be completely vertical from the tabletop or the tripod/desk got in the way. It was also cumbersome to set up. Using this clamp, I only have to attach an articulating arm and I now have a compact, easily adjusted setup. So much easier! This is not a heavy clamp. I was expecting it to be super heavy, but I do not think that it is made out of a heavy duty metal (maybe aluminum?). However, there is no flex to it. I tried bend it with gentle pressure and there was no movement. I tested this out with my first-generation Canon 6D, along with the articulating arm. The 6D is a full-frame camera with a good bit of weight. This clamp held it easily. I plan to use this with a Canon SL2, which is only about a pound so I am even more confident in it. The parts of the clamp that have direct contact with the surface you attach it to have v-shaped notches cut out of them. I believe that this would ensure a better connection when you want to use this clamp to attach to round objects like dowels, rods or tree branches. There are a few things that I do not like about this clamp. First, when cranking the adjustment bolt there is nothing to really hold on to. You are left to just twist the round disc at the end of the bolt. It is definitely doable, but it would be more comfortable to have some kind of tab, handle or crank to use. Next, the screws that are used at the attachment points (the screws that attach to your camera) are hollow and not solid metal. This may be a cheaper option for the manufacturer, but this little piece of metal is what is keeping our cameras from crashing to the ground...you couldn't go with a solid screw? (((They are collared screws, which keeps them from screwing too far down into the recesses which is a nice touch))). Lastly, the disc that makes contact with the surface you are clamping on will leave behind indentions and scuffs. While they have attached soft rubber O-rings to many of the surfaces (protecting the bottom of your camera from scuffs when you attach it), they failed to do so at that one point. I am assuming this decision was made to improve grip, but if you are like me and attaching to furniture (not a tree branch, handrail in a public park, etc) you do NOT want to leave behind scuffs or scratches. If you go with this clamp invest in some rubber/silicone O-rings and/or felt to put between the clamp and your surfaces. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and I look forward to using it in the future. I would recommend this item to a friend.

I used this so that I can clamp my camera to my desk (using a monopod) and it works perfectly. Cannot find any product as useful as this one, definitely worth the money. Quality is good too.

I ordered two of these to hold my camera and lighting equipment on my desk. I was able to remove the various threaded inserts using vise grips (heads up: they're glued in but they'll come out with some persuasion). The brackets seem to be near 10mm thick aluminum and the various silicone pads appear durable and so far haven't fallen off or been squished into a paper-thin silicone pancake. The worst part of the brackets is likely the knobs. They're just this boring round plastic which could be better shaped to allow you to apply more force, or include a flat spot for a wrench or key. But they work, they'll get the job done. Overall very happy and will be ordering again without a doubt.

I think that initially I bought only one to see how it works, and then I bought more because they are so versatile. If you like to munt cameras in unique places, this clamp will usually do the job. Just add a swivel adapter to adjust your angle.
