Giant Print Reference Bible-NASB

This is a really nice version of the Bible - physically, I'm not commenting on the contents. I have many translations and wanted to read the NASB. This is a quality book, well bound and presented. The paper is thin (as per any Bible), in some light a little show through from the other side, but you have to look for it, it certainly does not detract from reading. The print is good, it is large print and so very easy to read. The cover is an imitation leather type material and is amazing. Soft, flexible and hard wearing - I actually prefer it to some of the premium Bible covers like goats skin. It is a big book so not for the jacket pocket, but I carry mine most places in a small bag, its not heavy just physically bigger than a 'novel' type book.If you want a NASB I would really recommend this one. The print size makes it easy to read - even with uncorrected vision and so a pleasure to read - I often find Bible print just a little too small to be comfortable for long periods of reading. There is a little space around the text to make the odd notes etc. but not a lot if you like to write in your Bible.As a quality 'go anywhere' Bible, easy to read in most lighting, and nice to hold because of the quality of the physical book this is a definite five stars.

No negatives for this bible. We wanted large print and this is exactly that and as a bonus the type face is dark which adds to it's readability. Verse by verse numbering so it is easy to find verses. Paragraphs are marked by blacker print. Leather type covers are fine and the bible is easy to handle.Years ago I used a NASB and then changed, more recently to NKJV, however I disliked some of the word use in the NKJV. The NASB is a 'breath of fresh air' in its' use of language and both my wife and I now prefer the NASB. We have now nearly read all of the new testament translation. Our exploration of the NASB old testament is relatively sparse at this time so our comments on interpretation of necessarily limited at the moment. If you need a large text, this is the best bible for ease of reading, and we enjoy the translation over other versions.

This is not my first copy.Like the size and clarity of the text.Dislike the fact that the cover comes off quicker than I consider fair wear and tear.Will not be using this one as my main Bible so it should last longer.

Nice big print, good binding and easy to understand, i.e. I have a NKJ version also in large print but not hard backed and I found both complementary, Jesus words printed in red which makes it so easy to understand as mentioned. However, I'm a little bit disappointed that there are no synopsis at the beginning of the books to explained who may have wrote the books or some important chapters, parables etc in the book to look out for as in the NKJ. Also I found the pages are a little thin, but not a bad bible to have.

The New American Standard Bible, which I purchased, is said to be the most accurate Bible translation available. This 2002 updated edition is great in giant print (14pt) and is very good value. If you need it quite quickly then I suggest you contact the seller, Wordrey, & upgrade the postage, it is set at 2nd class Royal Mail rate. I did contact the seller with a qauestion which they answered promptly & satisfactorily. I did try other book sellers but they did not have the font size I required for reading with my poor eyesight. I reccomened & will use them again.

Giant print - yes - but not leather bound, which is how Amazon advertise it. It's actually Leathertex which, in this case, I'm pretty sure is just a form of imitation leather. Though it's a very nice bible, I am disappointed and consider it to have been mis-sold.
