BIG ROCKS

While this may have been a labor of love for the band to pay tribute to songs that influenced them, there's really nothing groundbreaking here. Some of the covers have a modified beat and/or rhythm guitar part but mostly remain true to the originals in basic form and execution. I personally prefer when an artist adds something new to a song they are covering but others will likely feel different. One thing I will criticize is the opening track "N.I.B." from Black Sabbath's first album. That is one of my personal favorite Sabbath songs so I was really looking forward to seeing what the band did with it...and it's 2+ minutes of nothing but the riff...no vocals...just the riff repeated with a break here and there. Not what I was hoping for or expecting and I really don't see the point of including it. Elsewhere some songs are pretty white bread plain covers while others are worth a listen for the minor modifications the band makes. If you're a diehard fan you'll want it, if you are into covers you'll probably want it but I don't see it bringing in any new fans or adding to their legacy. If you're new to the band go pick up Hardware or One Vice At A Time

スイスの老舗ハードロック・バンド、クロークスの新作はカバー曲集です。クイーンやストーンズをはじめオリジナルの１曲以外みんなが良く知ってる楽曲で、ワンパターンでどのアルバムも同じみたいに思ってる人にもお勧めできる作品だと思います。色んなバンドを渡り歩いてるイメージのあるマンディ・メイヤーさんは今回も参加されてもう１０年以上在籍してます、他は全盛期のメンバーさんにドラムが２０１４年に出たライヴに参加してたフラヴィオさんという人が居て前作同様トリプル・ギター体制で作られてるようです。ＡＣ／ＤＣっぽいところは相変わらずですが、私はこのバンドが大好きです。
