This blanket is lightweight but warm with a waterproof side and a sherpa lined side. Used it for the first time this weekend watching softball in cool, windy & misty weather. It did a good job of keeping us warm and dry. It was big enough for both my husband and myself sitting on the bleachers. I didn't notice any unpleasant odor. It was easy to roll up and store.
