This little thing is awesome. Had it for a few years now and it's a work horse if your doing small hobby stuff. Gets the jobs done at a reasonable time and Duke use. It's still holding up after a few years now. Great value. Compact size. Easy to put together and use.

This CANALHOUT melting furnace with a tilting but attached lid is very well-made and with the propane gas source- melts pretty fast in a large crucible. Easy to use and safe with this type of lid- that is why I picked this unit to replace an older furnace with a removable lid that was a lot harder to use trying to set the hot lid on the ground, etc. With the included two set of tongs and a large graphite crucible- pre-heat the crucible with melted Borax in it to swirl around and coat the inside- you are ready to go. With the included regulator and gas/ air regulating tube- this unit gets hot fast and reaches high temps needed for melting metals. Easy to replace the insulation and clean if needed and built with strong materials- this size furnace is perfect for my uses of mineral testing and concentrate melting. The tilting lid is perfect and picking the hot crucible out is easy with the tongs from this excellent furnace! Great find!

This thing kicks ass, heats up super quick, easy to set up, but I have one small issue. I bought the biggest one, like 26k crucible or something, and they give you these mega sized tongs to pick it up with, but they give you these puny sized tongs that I assume you use to pour the contents of the crucible out with, but they are too small to even open wide enough to grab the crucible. I just figured maybe they'd give you appropriately sized equipment with which one you bought. Maybe just a packaging slip up? Either way, now I have to get bigger tongs.

Got this as a Christmas gift to myself to start melting some silver. It worked like a charm. I would definitely heat up The Crucible then let it rest before heating your first batch of metal, I season mine with a little borax. All attachments fit perfect and the tongs appear to be nice and sturdy definitely recommend some leather welding gloves. Also bought some Graphite Rods to stir some borax Into The Crucible. I poured two bars my first try and the third bar I ran out of propane. Great little furnace and all-in-one price. I had to buy a mold to pour it in and the Graphite Rods but everything else came with the kit. Looking forward to Melting more...

This propane melting furnace is fantastic! It heats up quickly and melts metal easily. The 7KG capacity is perfect for my projects, and it’s very easy to use. It’s built well and feels very durable. I’ve been using it for a while now, and it works great every time. If you need a reliable melting furnace, this is the one to get!

This product has no support. I am sure its only one part that is defective but can not order those parts or find any help. Also, the furnace is not returnable.

Seems okay but the fitting for the gas bottle doesn’t work for Australian gas bottles Tongs for lifting crucible seem a little precarious for lifting hot crucible

Came with everything you needed to get started other than a lighter, propane, and a mold. Thats pretty nice for the price. The unit works well and gets up to temp fast, i found the flame will go out randomly sometimes even if i play with pressure. Im not exactly sure what its made from but its kinda rusting now around the hot parts which is kinda lame as the last ones i had would, only be abit chared. It has handles to move around, they are small but work. And some weird handle on the back i dont touch. Crucible is big and tough, tongs are long and work nicely for this so i liked that. And the unit will hold a larger crucible. All in all id recommend this for a beginner or someone thats been doing this for a while, works fine and gets the job done. Pros -size -price -includes everything -light weight Cons -feels a bit cheap -rusts?
