A Musician's or Music Fans Dream!
Pros: I have been a musician and music fan for my entire life. I have a substantially large music collection of many different genres. I’m one of those people who listens to the entire album with headphones or sitting in the center between two speakers, reading along with the lyric sheet. Sound quality and production are very important to me. I prefer studio recordings vs. live recording for that reason alone. Lets just say I’m a wanna’ be audiophile. When I received my Fosi P3 it changed the entire listening experience for me. I don’t know if it’s the tubes and the chips that give the music a spacial and more separated, clearer stereo sound. But whatever it is, Fosi got it right! I’m using it as a pre amp for my old Sony receiver which I never really was happy with the sound of, and now the Fosi P3 has improved the sound 100%. The clarity and spacial separation of hearing each instrument individually and and every little nuance in the production of a recording is truly brilliant and amazing. I run the Fosi’s output to the input of a channel on the Sony with bass & treble on the Sony in the flat position. So I only use the amp part of the Sony for power. I have the volume of the Sony at the two o’clock position. I use the Fosi’s delicate and accurate volume, bass and treble controls only. If you move these controls ever so slightly you can hear a substantial difference in eq. The bluetooth is perfect and connects immediately to my iPhone with no drop outs, static or interference. I intend to have a Fosi in every room of my home. Features I would like to see in Fosi’s future are multiple inputs and a remote control. Did I mention how great headphones sound in the Fosi? A new and surprisingly wonderful experience altogether. Another cool feature is when you plug in headphones, it mutes the speakers. I myself love this feature. I could go on and on but I’ll just say, you will not find a better way of listening to music for under one hundred dollars. If you really love and listen to music like I do, buy the Fosi P3, You won’t be disappointed. Btw, I now have 3 of these little amps. The same one in all 3 separate rooms Cons: Only 1 Input. No Remote. The tubes are difficult to insert. Fosi support was outstanding and sent me a video of unscrewing the gold rings out before inserting the tubes by even just unscrewing the gold ring was very difficult to unscrew and screw back in. Then the tubes are even more difficult to insert. I followed Fosi's instructions but the tube pins are definitely crooked and don't line up perfectly with the holes. You have to keep bending the pins carefully to get them to all fit in and when you do finally get them to line up the tubes have to be pressed down so hard that you feel you might break them. I took me almost 30 minutes to get 1 tube in. After buying 3 of these preamps, the tube insertion did not getting any easier, I have to say Fosi need to address this issue. Update 1-26-26 : I own 3 of these units and have found the Headphone Jack in all three have the Left & Right reversed. So what should be in the right ear you should be hearing in the left ear.

Fabulous value
This amp suits my needs perfectly. I wanted an amp for my headphone for use with phone/ tablet as well as a CD player. This does just that, and I think it has a warm, rich sound. If you give this amp a good source and reasonable headphones, it will deliver good value. And it

best way to add system volume and tone controls.
I love how simple this little pre-amp is. The unit boast decent specs too, with SNR above 103 db. The volume and tone control knobs are small, but even my big hands manage to use them OK. The tone controls are not linear, but are useful once you get used to using very small adjustments, and work very well and very silently. The main reason I was attracted to this particular unit was that it had BlueTooth 5.1, which is a big sonic improvement, now that I've heard it. Auto pairing can be a bit of a bother if you use your phone's bluetooth for other things. At this price this little Fosi Audio P3 is both a bargain and a sonic suprise, worth every penny.

Works well for me!
I may not be using this in my system to it's full extent, or as intended, but the Fosi P3 is doing exactly what I need it to do. No need for the Bluetooth, not using the tone controls or the volume control... BUT I needed to take the edge out of the top end of a Fosi BT20A Pro. While I've been very happy with the BT20A Pro, certain tones in the upper octaves can catch you by surprise... a little clangy, zingy, edgy (worsened by the speaker I use). I went with the P3 because I read so many times over how it's well paired with Fosi amps. Inserting the P3 between sources and the BT20A is all it needed. Edge rounded off nicely! BUT there's more! Unexpectedly, the P3 has brought more fullness to the sound from bottom to top. Instrument separation is clean... focus is tight. Class D amps get a rap for vocals being forward. I notice the depth is back a bit more now... vocals seem more precisely placed in the sound stage. I was using tone controls but I am now back to flat, where it "should" be. Now tone controls add juice instead of getting it to flat... flat is flat now. I don't know how "tubey" this bugger is... it's not "yummy" or "syrupy" or whatever the audiophile head words are... it took the edge off and left all of the precision and beefed up the bottom and top. For me, a fantastic addition to the kit. Why no tone controls or volume control? I'm glad you asked... I use a WiiM Pro Plus as a hub of sorts. That way I can control volume and use the EQ in the awesome WiiM app. Fluance RT 82 with an AT VMN30EN cart upgrade, into an iFi Zen phono, into the WiiM... clean pass through RCA to Fosi P3 and finally RCA into Fosi BT20A Pro with Sparkos SS3602 op amp upgrade. Streaming and phono go through the P3. The BT20A feeds Sony SSCS5 and Elac 1010 Sub (crossover is about 70) very nicely. Someday I'll upgrade that Sony, but for now, it works well for me. Full recommendation for this Fosi P3 use case. I'll also add that the biggest impact upgrade in the kit was the Sparkos op amps. Those little bad boys do amazing things for class D amps.

Compact and capable
If you want to add Bluetooth functionality to any system, you can't beat this compact hybrid preamp. Nice sounding headphone preamp, or use for streaming music to any legacy stereo with RCA inputs.

NICE LITTLE GEM!
Changed my whole system! Beautiful warm tube sound but still can hear highs with detail. Cant go wrong for the price...it punches far above its low cost!

Great warm sound, but…
This handles the regular task of being a phono preamp for my turntable great! Superb build quality, and all of the materials feel nice. But when you use the Bluetooth feature it makes your Bluetooth music sound muffled in a way. I’ve tired to mess with the eq, and setting but I just can’t make it sound right. I bought this for its Bluetooth feature but it’s unfortunately lackluster. The headphone output is nice but lacks any real power, so if you’re driving anything more than some Apple EarPods it’s not gonna be very loud.

An audio game changer!!
I bought an Audio-Technica record player a while ago along with some powered speakers, but they weren't providing the sound I was looking for. Even though the AT turntable has a preamp, it just wasn't delivering the full sound I wanted. I kept seeing recommendations for preamps, so I took a chance with this one. I am so glad I did!! This preamp made a huge difference in adding the bass and punch my system needed! How much of a change did this make? I'll put it into perspective. Imagine having a lamp with a 25-watt bulb and then you switch the bulb out with a 75-watt bulb. You end up with a much brighter and better light that makes everything brighter and easier to see. Now, back to the preamp, adding this made the music brighter, and fuller and increased the bass!! That alone is amazing, but this preamp also has a headphone jack and Bluetooth! I can play music from the turntable or my phone or iPad through it and it sounds incredible! I was considering adding a subwoofer before I bought this preamp, now I'm wondering if I even need one since this added the low-end sound my system was lacking. Yes, it improves the sound that much...well, to me anyway. The small tubes that it comes with are not installed when you get the preamp, so you have to install them yourself and it can be a little bit of a challenge to line up all the prongs, but it's worth it. One of the tubes went in fairly easily and the other tube took a little while to get all the prongs lined up to fit in the holes, but I'm very happy with this purchase. If you're looking for an affordable tube style preamp, give this one a try!
