Very good…
Very tasty coffee. No smokey flavor. Nice sweetness. Smooth. All around great cup of coffee.

Coffee beans I'll buy again
These coffee beans are an absolute delight—their rich, aromatic scent is like a warm embrace, with hints of caramel and dark chocolate. Every grind releases an intoxicating fragrance that makes brewing pure joy. A must-have for any coffee lover.

Bought beans, needed ground.
The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because I wanted ground coffee and received beans. I probably ordered incorrectly. Tried to grind them in a blender and it didnt work. I have no idea how it tastes. Probably great. Cannot return. My fail!

In the words of Randy Jackson, its just alright for me dog.
First this coffee that arrived today is best consumed by the middle of next month and was roasted last October, but if freshness is paramount, you probably aren't buying coffee from Amazon anyways. The supposed hints of chocolate and vanilla are non existent and it is mildly bitter. I didn't like it initially, but it is starting to grow on me. The beans are not oily so it works well in my Jura auto-feed brewer. I am a huge fan of dark roast but this tastes clean and its a nice change of pace.

Disappointed With Stumptown
The Negative Reviews Were On Point- the beans were not fresh, hardly any notable coffee flavors, it does take more beans to make a cup (I thought it was just me), and it is overpriced considering the end product. I guess I should have read the reviews before buying it. Noticed the beans on the left are more glossy (meaning the oils haven't been stripped) than the ones on the right (Stumptown, which I received a little more than a week ago and only opened a couple of days ago). My experience: - I first tried it with my espresso machine. The grind was dry and powdery. The crema was lacking and it looked a little watery. The taste was acidic, not nutty or roasted. The taste was akin to stale beans or decaf, slight sour taste. The notes were definitely not of vanilla or cocoa powder (as the label advertised). - I admit I'm no barista, so I gave it another go. This time with a pour over, which IMHO I'm better at. As another reviewer noted, it did take a little more beans to make a comparable cup. But the end results were still the same, still the same acidic/sour taste of stale beans, no notes of vanilla or cocoa powder. I threw away the package so I don't know when the roasted and good by dates were. FWIW, I didn't like their bottled cold brews (same acidic/sour taste) and was willing to try them out bc heck we're talking whole roasted organic beans and at a relatively attractive price.. But no. I'll stick with my Lavazza (the beans on the left in pic).

Great brand and blend
As a first-time purchaser of this coffee blend, I must express my satisfaction with the brand. While it falls within the realm of luxury items due to its cost, I am grateful for its exceptional brewing quality. The aroma is captivating, the roast is splendid, and the acidity is perfectly balanced. This blend is an ideal choice for my preferences. I will repeat the purchase and recommend it to others.

A Balanced Choice, But Missing Some Spark
I recently had the chance to experience the Stumptown Coffee Roasters' Founder's Blend, and I'd like to share my thoughts on this medium roast organic whole bean coffee. The organic aspect of this coffee is definitely a strong point. It's great to see a brand taking sustainability seriously and offering an organic option for coffee lovers. The medium roast level is where I usually find my sweet spot, and the Founder's Blend delivers on that front. It's a smooth and balanced cup of coffee that doesn't overwhelm the taste buds. If you prefer a milder flavor profile, this could be a good choice for you. However, when it comes to the taste experience, I found myself wanting a bit more depth. While the coffee is enjoyable, it lacks the complexity and boldness I often seek in a cup of coffee. It's a bit on the safe side in terms of flavor. In terms of packaging, the 12-ounce bag is a practical size, and it does a decent job of preserving the freshness of the beans. My only gripe here is that I've noticed some inconsistency in the freshness of different batches. Some bags seem to lose their vibrancy sooner than expected. All in all, the Founder's Blend by Stumptown Coffee Roasters is a respectable option for those who prefer a milder, more balanced coffee experience. It may not be my personal go-to, but it could definitely find a place in the rotation for those seeking a smoother cup of joe.
