Best rope out there!
All I can say, is this speed rope is hands down the best I've ever used. I previously used the original Beast Rope, but they've taken things up a gear with this one...these guys know when they're doing! I used to use SGF and Rogue speed ropes, but I'm so glad I switched to Beast Gear First, it just looks and feels super cool - always a bonus. But in terms of the actual functionlity it's also great. The weight is perfect. It's not a 'weighted' rope per-se but the feel of the cable is just right...skipping feels easy and doubles and triples are no problem. The handles are similar to the original handles on the Beast Rope - not overly fancy, comfortable and a good shape. It's really fast, which I think must be down to the new bearings they are using - love it! And it's easy to adjust. Yes, you need to use the wee alan key but that actually makes it more secure and less likely to slip. I just snipped off the excess, although some of the guys at the gym have left theirs on so they can make it longer and shorter if they fancy changing it. Pay the extra and get this one - paying anything less than £10 for a speed rope is stupid, it'll be rubbbbish and was happy to spend £20 on this - it's an absolute no-brainer

Very good
I wanted a new jump rope after realising my old one was a bit dated. I wanted something fast and efficient for double unders and hiit training. After seeing the positive reviews for this, and after looking at many other similar jump ropes, I opted for this. The first thing that struck me was how thin and lightweight the actual rope is. Ive always had thicker jump ropes so the change in weight does take a little getting used to, but this isnt a complaint as most modern ropes are like this and the lightness helps to perform jumps faster. It's very easy to change the length with the tiny Allen key if needed, and the carry case, booklet and spare parts are very welcome. Care should be taken not to drop the rope on hard surfaces as the handles are plastic and seem easily scratchable and breakable. Overall I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend for ppl who are looking for a lightweight rope for speed jumping and a good cardio workout.

Not durable using outdoors
I bought this rope beginning of September used at least 5 days a week, outdoors the rubber protection included is useless makes the rope imbalance and on top of that lasted only a week the rubber literary disintegrated , then I really enjoyed the rope until the red cover from the rope disintegrated as well now in the .middle where the cable hits the floor are only spiky broken wires that caught on clothes , and is about to break , I think is a bit pricey for the quality the handles are hollow plastic which makes it really light I used my nylon rope with wheighted handles so I need a few sessions to get used to this new rope but I am a bit disappointed,

Fly away
This rope is extremely light weight and I feel is therefore more suited to high speed skipping. Try to slow down to use anything other than the standard jump eg boxer step and the rope takes on a life of its own, flexing into loops and catching on your feet. Quality wise, the one I purchased had one bearing that graunches as if it has rough bearings in that handle, (the other was as smooth as silk). This didn't really affect the use, but you can feel an irritating vibration in one hand. Not what you would expect from a quality rope. So in brief if all you want to do is a high speed skip as a work out this may suffice, however I feel that the cheaper ropes made available in the gym perform far better at all speeds, so save you money and buy a cheaper rope my current one cost £7.99 and is far more controllable. You can always work up to something better if you feel you need it , but don't assume that because it is expensive it is good, because it is not always the case. regards Mike (purchased on my wifes account)

Good quality jump rope with silky smooth bearings
As someone who trains others and myself everyday I get to go through a variety of jump ropes and have had my fair share of good and not so good ropes. This rope has been used a fair amount by users of various levels of abilities with a couple of them quite reluctant to give it back when the training session has finished which from my own use I can see why. For me what makes a good rope is one that has both smooth silky like bearings and one which rotates without any kinking or jumping when in motion which thankfully this rope has and does respectively. The handy zip bag keeps everything neat and tidy as well as keep a hold of the spare end caps and allen key for which the rope can be quickly adjusted depending on user height. Even with a few inches of excess wire, the rope rotates smoothly without any interference. The included user guide gives some good info on how to adjust the rope for optimum use and results. The rubber wire protector is easy to fix in place ready for outdoor use and can be removed when needed. Given that we train regularly outdoors and indoors I have left the guard in place. The plastic hollow handles are suitably sized for most users that have tried the rope. Asides from the overall quality that cannot be faulted and gives the impression that it will last well, the free lifetime warranty adds to the overall satisfaction of my purchase should the need ever arise for repair etc.

Low quality overpriced skipping rope
I'll give you some context first. I workout 6 days a week and take Sundays as rest. But in my rest day I do skipping rope outside in my patio (concrete). 2 sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, 20 mins each. Also, I bought this skipping rope 1 month ago. Having said that, when I saw that this rope had a protective coat to use it on concrete it caught my eye, so I bought it no questions asked. I didn't pay attention to the bad reviews, because you know, there is always someone who is really picky (bad..bad move). I adjusted the rope length and inserted the special coat. My first impression was that the protective coat was cheap and flimsy, and I was right. I started my skipping rope session and the coat kept moving around, unbalancing the rope's weight and making it very annoying. After the first sessions I noticed that the protective coat was roughed up severely, but I told my self that that was probably it and it would hold up. Long story short, after three session that protective coat goes to shreds, literally. What a joke. I continued using the rope outside, since my place's ceiling is relatively low, and then the actual wire coating came off leaving the wire exposed. After a month of usage (Eight 20 mins sessions) the wire is starting to break. At this price point I would have expected something way way better, since I could buy three crappy silicone skipping ropes for the same money and they would have lasted way more (and I'm saying this based on experience, I had a silicone one and it lasted 3 months doing 20 mins everyday).

Fantastic customer service! Great product!
I bought the Beast Rope Pro Advanced Speed Skipping Rope for CrossFit, specifically to master double unders but also because I do a bit of boxing training, so wanted a quality rope for that too. To be fair I had done a bit of research beforehand, looking at reviews and things to look out for / avoid. So I was confident that I'd made the right choice before I purchased. The Beast rope didn't disappoint. It is made to a high quality spec, really smooth and lightweight. The handles are especially impressive. As well as being really lightweight, the cord is set at a 90 degree angle, which makes skipping at speed effortless. The rope looks and feels like a quality item and the red cord gives it an expensive look. My order also came with a storage bag (also well made) and Allen key. Whilst I did have an issue post purchase (my son got hold of it and damaged it) the after sale service that I received from Ben at Beast Gear was both exceptional and personal, making me feel like my satisfaction was important to them. He certainly went the extra mile (a rare experience for me when contacting manufacturers with any issues) and I really appreciate his efforts. I will definitely be placing more orders with Best Gear.

Almost Brilliant!
A great rope, and it should be for £21. Really lightweight and so easy to use due to how thin it is. My issue it that skipping outside the plastic coating starts to peel off if skipping on concrete. I know there is a rubber 'sheath' to put over to protect it, however seems like an after thought as it messes with the aesthetics of the rope and obviously thickens it, becoming just a normal rope. I would definitely recommend it for indoors, outdoors, yes, but be careful where you skip!
