Question 1

Can it play video and photo together? I want turn my tv to a photo frame, tried many brands of Media player but none of them can do that.

Accepted Answer

The ScreenCast 4K Wireless Display Adapter is primarily designed for screen mirroring or casting content from your mobile device or computer to a larger display, such as a TV or monitor. It's not typically used as a standalone media player or digital photo frame.

However, you can achieve the effect you're looking for by using your mobile device or computer to play a video and display photos simultaneously on your TV using the ScreenCast 4K.

1. Connect the ScreenCast 4K to Your TV: Plug the ScreenCast 4K Wireless Display Adapter into an available HDMI port on your TV and power it using a USB port on the TV or a USB power adapter.
2. Set Up Screen Mirroring: Use your mobile device or computer to connect to the ScreenCast 4K using the screen mirroring or casting feature. Depending on your device's operating system (e.g., Android, iOS, Windows, macOS), you can use technologies like Miracast, AirPlay, or Google Cast (Chromecast) to mirror your screen to the TV.
3. Play Video: On your mobile device or computer, open the video you want to play. Start playing the video, and it should be mirrored to the TV.
4. Display Photos: While the video is playing on the TV, you can display photos on your mobile device or computer. Depending on your device, you can use a photo slideshow app or simply swipe through your photos in a gallery app.
5. Adjust Settings: Use your mobile device or computer to control the playback of both the video and photos. You can pause, rewind, and navigate through the media as needed.

By mirroring your screen and playing video and photos on your mobile device or computer, you can effectively use your TV as a combined photo frame and video player. However, please note that this approach may require some manual control and interaction with your mobile device or computer to coordinate the playback of video and photos.

Plug the HDMI connector into an available HDMI port on the TV/display. Plug the USB connector into an available USB Type-A port on your TV or a USB power adapter* (USB extension cable included.). *If a USB port is not available on your TV, you can connect it into a wall outlet using a USB power adapter. Turn on your TV to power up the ScreenCast. Select your TV's input/source until you see the setup screen. *If your TV screen remains black, your TV may not be supplying enough power. In this case, please plug the USB cord into a USB power adapter and connect it to an outlet.
