Does this one have the tipping over on it's side problem?

Yes. It seems to right itself most of the time but there are occasions it doesn't. I am trying to figure it out. I have only had it a few weeks. When it works, it works nicely.

Can tou use this vacumm for dimond brite finish?

Yes. I am using it on diamond brite.

Cleans well but not too good at climbing walls. Anything I can do to improve this part?

I had to turn the RPM up on my pump and now it practically climbs out of the pool. I call it Dave, named after the pool guy it replaced. The new Dave is much more reliable and works much harder.
