Product description ------------------- This kit is ideal for beginners to learn hobby metal casting on a domestic cooker. Our durable rubber moulds are guaranteed for 500 figures. A bar of lead free metal is included. The Roman Empire is one of the most famous empires in human history. This mould casts two 1st Century C.E. Legionaries. They use short throwing darts to hinder their enemies before finishing them off with short s. Their large shields were used to block projectiles and also control attacking forces so that their fighting unit, being generally more disciplined than their enemies could systematically stab their enemies while being protected from counterattack by a shield wall. This figure requires a little assembly after casting. Superglue is recommended but not included. Contents: * A mould. * Metal ladle. * 2 Metal Clamps * 2 Support Boards * 1 Bar of '6 Star' Metal (Tin/Bismuth alloy) * Release Powder * Small Metal File * Flat sided Snippers for removal of ingates from casting * Wooden Stirrer Stick '6 Star' Metal melts at 148°C (298°F), Cast at 300-320°C. Non-Toxic. The process for casting is simple: * Melt metal in the ladle, * Assemble the mould as instructed. * Pour the liquid metal into the mould. * Wait for about 3 minutes for the metal to cool. * Unassemble the mould and carefully remove the figures. * Trim off the excess in-gates with the snipper supplied. Remelt the waste metal. * Assemble the figure with superglue. * Prime and paint the figure as you would any metal figure Never cool metal with water.
