This is fab! Worth buying to save left over oil.

Good bacon fat/oil strainer. The filter is fine but it won't filter out fine particles so I use a coffee filter paper to filter this out. The metal is very thin and it claims to be 308 quality stainless steel so it should be fine for food use. If you're doing pan frying, the volume may just be enough but it certainly is not enough for deep fat frying. It's dishwasher safe and easy to clean. Recommended

I wish I bought one of these when I first started home ownership. If you're into cooking eggs and you like clean oil I would definitely say get one of these. I would say it claims to hold 1.4 l, however, if you put even a full litre in it, then wear the sieve sits. The oil will be above that so it won't actually strain it, however, you can easily put 3/4 of a litre into it each time, which if you're using a 7-inch pan for frying, eggs is ideal

The design of this product is practical - it's adequately sized, user-friendly and cleans up easily. However, it's primary function, filiering, is underwhelming. The filter screen is not fine enough to catch smaller debris, which means you frequently have to re-pour the oil several times to achieve a clear result. This inefficiency makes the process tedious than it should be. I have since tried other type that perform this basic task much more effectively.

Too many times I’d had to fill the little reused glass Gü dessert dishes up with oil. This was a pain and I’d end up using multiple of these, never cleaning them just disposing of them which was neither economical nor environmentally friendly. Switched to this which was reasonably priced and built well. The size of the item is not obtrusive on the counter top yet still allows for a vast amount of leftover fat and grease! Simple to use and looks good. Easy to empty in to a bin or reuse fats when the fat has solidified, filter tray is really handy to catch debris!

Decent idea with a nice little base plate however I keep mine by the hob which means it gets splattered with fat and grease while cooking, requires constant cleaning, plus the base ends up sticking to the bottom of it when that happens. The holes inside do clog up but some clear when new hot fat is poured in. Great idea to pour fat into and then into a plastic bottle for disposal really, so I'm going to change from a 3* review to 4*

Ich habe es zum Rausfiltern von Kernen aus Himbeer- und Trauben-Marmelade verwendet. Funktioniert super! Sieb ist fein genug, sitzt fest, es hat fast ein ganzes Marmeladenglas im Sieb platz. Man kann sauber die Marmelade durchstreichen und sie dann sauber vom Topf wieder ins Glas umfüllen. Natürlich darf man den Topf nicht auf den Herd stellen, sonst schmilzt der Griff! Für meinen Anwendungsbereich perfekt, hab für meine Mutter auch gleich eines gekauft :-)

exactly what it say. I only cook with fats and expensive oils so I try to save as much as I can. I keep this in the freezer. This recycles oil/fat also adds flavour to my cooking. If it dark, i run it through a coffee filter. Saves me money and allows me to only heat healthy fats.
