The SE Sport 300 Hydrofoil is a precision-engineered aluminum and stainless steel accessory designed for 35-300 hp outboard motors. It reduces drag and stern lift, enabling quicker plane at lower speeds (14-15 MPH), enhancing safety and comfort for family boating and watersports. Easy to install with included hardware, it also supports consistent fish finder performance, making it a must-have upgrade for saltwater enthusiasts.

Works great
Installed on a Mercruiser 5.0 with alpha 1 gen 2 outdrive to solve slow planing. The boat is a 20' Monterey Montura. Plenty of power, but the boat loaded just has a stern heavy situation. I don't allow the kids up front when the boat is on plane and the water is choppy so to the big couch in the back they go, hence the always stern heavy. Boat would plane out nice at 18-20 mph but that's a tad fast for kids learning to knee board etc. With the SE300 it made all the difference in the world. Now it has very little now lift and full plane is achieved at 14-15 MPH. Much more comfortable for everyone in the boat, and I can safely see over the bow while seated. Install is straight forward, follow instructions and center the foil and mark your holes carefully before you drill. I also chamfered the holes once drilled to relieve any chips or micro cracks from drilling. Then treat the holes with self etching primer and small paint brush. I used large area stainless steel washers (not supplied) on the bottom where the hardware contacted the cav plate. This spreads the load of the screw over a larger area and will prevent cracks or damage to the cav plate.

Well worth it!!!
Works exceptionally well! Nose of the boat stays down from slow speeds all the way through the acceleration to cruising speed. It was easy to install and the white looks great on my white motor. It also helped my fish finder transducer maintain constant connection with the water while traveling at cruising speed. Definitely recommend this

Glad to have it
Installation of this hydrofoil took all about 20 minutes (and I was taking my time to do it well). The hardware is high quality stainless steel and it fit and looks close to OEM gray on Yamaha outboards. I converted my console boat to a tiller steer so I needed something that would lift the aft out of the water a bit and get on plane quickly. I run a Yamaha T50 on a 1654 Bass Tracker Hull and this thing paired with a 13 pitch 3 blade stainless prop can have me on plane in less than 5 seconds.

May need additional hardware.
Installed on a 2005 Glastron GX205 w/ 5.0 270HP engine. Taking it out tomorrow so I will see if I notice any changes in operation and holeshot and will update here. Hoping it eliminates or greatly improves the big “squat” when launching from a stop. Pros: 1) Template to mark holes for drilling was perfect. 2) Has a nice look to it. I need to repaint my outboard now! Cons: 1) had to go buy longer stainless steel hardware as the included screws I could barely get on thread rotation on the nuts without using the rubber washers. I purchased actual stainless bolts (not Phillips screws as you can’t get that “umph” to tighten). I also purchased stainless metal washers to go on the bottom of the rubber washers and stainless lock washers. I am NOW confident this is sturdy and not going anywhere. Just need to use my cutoff wheel to trim the excess on the bolts. 2) part is plastic, I didn’t even think about what it was made out of. Idk how long it will last out here in AZ as plastic gets brittle with excessive heat so I’m already questioning the longevity of it but for $75 or whatever it was we shall see!

3 Time Repeat Buyer. Simple, Functional/Effective
I have owned multiple small boats, mostly small Carolina Skiffs: j16 (40hp Johnson, 50hp Evinrude), JVX16 (50hp Honda, 60hp Suzuki). On all of these boats/engines, I've ended up installing an SE-300 Sport Hydrofoil. Everything on a boat is a tradeoff, and hydrofoils are no different (weight distribution, trim/self-leveling tabs, hydrofoil, etc.). I want to sit as far rear in a boat as possible to have a smoother ride, but that usually has the effect of porpoising and slower hole-shot. I also keep these hulls in the water year-round, so I did not want anything like trim/self-leveling tabs that would be hard to maintain and paint (I have nothing against trim/self-leveling tabs, they do work really well, and I have used them on a 16 Semi-V to stop violent porpoising). My experience has been that this hydrofoil does improve my boat's performance. I'm currently running a JVX16 Carolina Skiff with a 60HP Suzuki 4-stroke. Installing the SE-300 Sport hydrofoil eliminated cavitation I was experiencing during hole-shot, improved hole-shot particularly while carrying more load, and widened the trim range of my motor while on-plane before porpoising starts. Among other things, this particular hydrofoil is aesthetically pleasing (no bright colors like some of the other brands). Because my motor is mounted on the higher bolt hole, this hydrofoil is not producing any noticeable drag (my WOT speed has not changed).

16’ Lund angler 50hp motor
2021 Lund angler 50hp motor. Been using for about a year. Had no complaints about the boat in the first place, just had positive experiences with this style hydrofoil in the past. I do 50/50 shallow rivers to big lakes. Thing works great. Got 2mph top end stock prop @ 6k rpm (28mph to30mph). Once you get the feel for the trim, the nose really doesn’t rise at all at take off. Very nice for shallow rivers. Planes faster and once you get on plane you can slow back down a little and remain there. I can turn sharper without cavitation (still cavitates, not as quickly). This product is boat specific. Different experience on my old 16’ bass tracker, and a 20’ pontoon. Still good results but no top end gain with tracker or pontoon. I want to add I didn’t want to drill through the node so I shaved the hydrofoils opening wider so it slipped further back. Mounting holes now miss the node. Also, if the hydrofoil is level with the cavitation plate it doesn’t work as well. Putting some nylon washers in the front of the foil to angle the rear of it down had better results. Obviously, too much angle slows the boat down. You’d think they’d mention something about angling the foil to fit your needs.

I had to remove my propeller in order to install this but it took no time. Note that it comes with two different lengths screws, the long ones for the outside and short for the inside. The hardest part is not having the rubber washers fall as you install it. Using supplied hardware and drill guide made it simple to install. I used a punch to mark the hole locations using supplied template that has markings on it to help you center it. I drilled a pilot hole first and double checked the fit. When it looked fine, I drilled it out further and from there install it was just a bit of a struggle not having the rubber washers slip out of the hardware when you go to place it in place. For sure, getting the boat out of the water faster and I also noticed higher speed so I was able to reduce the RPM. Also seems more stable on the water with less proposing.

Ordine arrivato dall' Olanda in tre giorni. Per maggiori informazioni consiglio di vedere i tutorial su YouTube.
