Hedione - an explanation
Hedione (Fir) has a light green floral fragrance that reminds of jasmine. The scent is not very strong, undiluted use is common. However, this substance is not used for the smell impression but for the other property it has. It enhances the impact and diffusion of virtually any perfume in which it is used, and has a harmonising effect on many compositions.

I didn't know why the Hedione barely had an odor & this is what came up online...Yes, it is entirely normal for Hedione (methyl dihydrojasmonate) to have almost no detectable scent when smelled on its own. It is a "transparent" aroma chemical, meaning it is valued more for how it alters other scents than for its own fragrance. I hope this balances out some of the 1 star reviews from others who didn't know this.
