Asher 85

I bought this to wear on the trail with my hardside hydration rig. I'm a bigger guy so I can't do those ultralight hydration packs. It worked quite well and was fairly lightweight for carrying water and a first aid kit. I have the larger Asher and both have served me well.

I recently purchased the Kelty Asher 65L for my upcoming expeditions, and I couldn't be happier. The build quality is top-notch, and the Fit-Pro system makes it incredibly easy to adjust for a perfect fit. Beyond the product itself, the experience with the seller and Amazon has been exceptional. Due to some logistical issues, I had a unique situation with my order, and the level of support and 'goodwill' I received was beyond my expectations. It’s rare to find such professional and customer-oriented service. Good quality, comfortable to carry

Great pack for the price. Good organization and lots of space. The materials is a little flimsy but that’s to be expected for this price. I do think the materials will hold (have done so with my current heavy load so far). Using this to hold a ton of gear for outdoor painting and it’s working out fine. Shoulder padding seems fine. Hip belt is meh, would have loved a better hip belt.

I absolutely love this daypack! At first I didn't like the way it opens up so largely, but after using it for a couple of years now, I have realized this is a great feature of this daypack. Having it open up widely like it does makes it very easy to get stuff in and out of it. I would buy this one again. Mine is showing absolutely no wear and tear after 2 years of nearly daily usage.

Mediocre, at best. The size and color are good, and it seems fairly decent overall. However, The zippers are not great, and though YKK and definitely not heavy duty, more like the cheap ones with a good name on them. The chest strap is also not great either. It's one of those ones that slide up and down on ridges made of the material, that eventually start popping off once the material breaks in. And what is up with those saggy pockets on the side? you want water bottles to stay put, not move around. The lack of tautness is a real design flaw. But the worst part of it is the hip belt, that is basically a small strap. You would think for over $100, they could at least throw in a padded hip belt. To be honest, those inexpensive Mardingtop packs blow these away in just about every category, but they look military and I wanted to steer away from that. And it is light, due to the fact it is not rugged at all. I was disappointed and expected much better, especially for a pack named after the founder of the company. If this is an example of the best they can do, I wouldn't even consider buying anything from them ever again. I'll hold on to it for now, but I have the feeling I will dump it soon. Not impressed.

Lots of storage, water resistance, light weight, the material is strong, the price was cheaper here than anywhere else we looked, got this for my wife and she loves it, fits her perfectly and she loves how it feels, the padding is extra thick for her shoulders, she said it’s way better than the others she had had, it’s more of a weekend bag than a day bag for sure, we have used it for day hikes but really over kill for that, our long weekend hikes is where you would need this.
