As a beginners book this isnt too bad there's glossy pages and it is a proper book unlike some ive received from amazon.

I’m just starting my journey with crystals this book came in the afternoon and I finished it it by 12am as literally couldn’t put it down every chance I had I kept reading so informative and very well explained I definitely have a better understanding now and feel confident in starting my work with crystals!!!! Love the pictures and explanations of each crystal would highly recommend for anyone who is starting out!!!

I been looking for a helpful and interesting book for beginners specially basic information of crystals, crystal healing, stone and gems, colours, form and meanings. We always can find information in google or going to Crystal stores but I was looking crystals healing and there’s many many of them and different purpose mental, physical and emotional. This is exactly what I was looking for. Basic information, different types and colours, healing crystal what meaning and what they are for. Writer seems very friendly in the book and clear information. Right money! Right book! Right time! The book came in a very good condition and quickly.

It’s great for people with an interest and beginners. I’m fairly new to crystals, but this book has the uses of most, as well as which crystals they work well with and where they’re best places etc. It also has crystal grids depending on what your intentions are. I’ve found it really interesting, and it’s helping me build up my crystal collection. If you want chakras, then they’re all in here too! It’s a very informative book, and easy to follow.

This book is brilliant. Explains all about crystals & minerals & has some lovely photo's. Very pleased with it.

Wasn't too sure about buying a preloved/used book. However I am very pleased with my purchase. The front cover was slightly bent but otherwise it was in great condition. Very interesting book for beginners into crystals. Easy to read and follow.

I wasn't expecting much, to be honest, but this book truly surprised me. I'm usually not easily impressed, not by books or by the healing powers of crystals and such. Well. The book takes a more scientific approach in the beginning. It explains in a clear way (with beautiful images) everything a beginner needs to know about crystals, the main ones, and an overview of many others. Not only do I love the book, and it has hooked me like no other recently, but I can't wait to use my crystals in a more conscious way. Not expecting miracles, I'm still the usual skeptic after all, but with knowledge. And that is good enough for me. I'm thinking about buying a more complete book by the same author. I highly recommend it to everyone who doesn't know much about crystals.

I have taken this book out of the library so much, that I knew I had to own it. This book is just informative and straightforward. The author comes across as a warm, friendly, super knowledgeable friend sharing what she knows with you. There is no "buy this very expensive one you must!" yada yada yada. Instead, there is look around and find out. Figure out what works for you and go from there. Plus, you'll learn a lot. Do you know what entrainment is? I did not, until I read it here. (Mood contagion, basically). I was not aware that crystals could be grouped by lattice pattern. Orthorhombic is a diamond-shaped pattern, for instance. The concept of piezoelectricity is fascinating. Tetrahedron aka pyramid shape - there's one for trivia night. This book is packed with information and insight. The 'One Stone - Many Names' section will save you money, as will the sections on which crystals will dissolve in water or bleach in the sun. (I haaate going to stores and seeing amethyst and rose quartz in direct sunlight, while their price tag endures unchanged). Being a book nerd with an extensive library, I would say buy a kindle and paper copy of this book with the money that you save, but that's just me. Anyway, to sum it up, this is an ideal beginner's book. It reads very much like my favorite cookbooks where it is both a pleasure to read and a trusted resource.

Very happy with this book... I am new to crystals and this book answers a lot of questions I didn't know to ask. Great visuals and good quality. Doesn't have all of the crystals /stones but it's a great start.
