Which (minor) key is 'salsa' key? and would it be suitable for a complete beginner? Any suggestions for teach myself e.g. book to recommend?

Hi, I don't play salsa myself but according to Lee Oscar the natural minor is the one for Latin which I would think is correct. As for books I've never owned one in the 50 odd years that I have been playing the harmonica, I only play blues and it just seems to come naturally. YouTube is always useful though. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

when trying to bend on 3draw the note just drops out and you get a high pitch tinny whistle. is this somthing im doing wrong or have i got a duff one?

Your getting over draw. You don't need to put so much pressure on the reeds to get them to to bend then bend you get are to do with the configuration of your mouth . Not how hard yo blow or such. I doughty very much you have a bad harp as I have lots of Lee osker they have always been good. .try tipping the harp up slightly .good blowing john
