Makita PJ7000 240V Biscuit Jointer Supplied in a Carry Case, Blue, SMALL

Bought for a woodworking project where biscuit jointing looked to be a real time saver. As this might be a one-off for me I considered the budget options but in the end, having done some research went with the Makita. I'm happy with the choice- it's versatile, easy to use, accurate and well built so I expect it to last. And it's come in handy for several other jobs so it will earn its corn.

Having used cheaper versions from high street DIY companies, this one is far better - the common issue with a cheap biscuit jointer is that there is a degree of play or wobble in the mechanism, making accuracy more difficult. The Makita biscuit jointer is rock solid and accurate. Simply line up your two pieces of wood and draw a straight line across both. Now take each in turn and line up that mark with the relevant indicator on the front of the tool and seconds later you have two accurate slots. The sawdust does sometimes remain in the slot so you may need to clear it out, but it doesn't seem to affect the cutting of the slot and it is easy to remove. Not the cheapest as the others will do the same basic task for 1/4 of the price, but for a solid accurate tool it is difficult to beat this one.

Wow, what a stunning machine. Very light, but powerful. Cam action setup on guide is excellent, very clear settings, easy to align with the work, accurate cut and very powerful. Ergonomics are great, and everything feels logical and falls into your hands while using. Only gripe is the odd, wobbly dust bag connection, which allows the bag to flop around freely, which can get in the way. Not sure what the idea was, but a rubber band holds in in place fine if it does get in the way. Probably done to be flexible with a vacuum hose, which makes sense (Makita?) Tool is so good, don't worry, I'd recommend this highly, very pleased.

I had bought a DeWalt biscuit jointer just over 2 years ago and, despite relatively light use, the gears have broken in the motor. This Makita jointer is ~£100 cheaper than the DeWalt and I am so pleased that I chose it. It feels rock solid and is far more precise than the DeWalt - solid and a proper precision piece of kit. Used it to joint a thin tabletop together and the tolerances were outstanding. Recommended

Well made bit of kit. Accurate and a good price

La uso de forma profesional y es un indispensable para mi. Use siempre la Virutex antes pero yo prefiero esta, la encuentro menos pesada, más manejable y perfectamente adecuada a la hora de trabajar. Le pongo un disco de CMT y trabajo madera maciza y tablero a la perfección. No vendría mal un soporte para la base cuando se usa verticalmente, pero bueno me apaño bien.

Super machine pour travailler chez soit. Maintenant que j'ai effectué quelques travaux avec, je peux lui donner une note. Elle est précise, le moteur tourne bien (pas d'accouds ou de ralentissement), bonne prise en main, assez légère Je suis menuisier de formation et j'avais l'habitude de travailler avec du matériel professionnel, conçu pour durer en utilisation quotidienne. Ces différences par rapport à une défonceuse à lamelles Mafell ou Festo (professionnelles) à plus de 1000€, les réglages moins ergonomiques, un peu moins solides aussi. Elle me donne l'impression d'une machine pro, retravaillée pour la rendre abordable aux particuliers et petites entreprise. Pour moi qui en fait une utilisation de 2 à 3 jours dans le mois grand max, c'est du haut de gamme, Elle vas durer très longtemps.

ero indeciso se optare per una versione da hobbista o su questa, ma alla fine ho preferito spendere qualcosa in più e andare sul sicuro. Non potevo fare scelta migliore. Una macchina davvero impressionante, molto precisa e rapida nell' utilizzo. Mi ha svoltato la creazione di mobili e giunzioni, velocizza le operazioni incredibilmente. La macchina nel complesso risulta molto solida, viene fornita in una valigetta con diversi accessori. Vi consiglio di collegarci l'aspiratore perché fa molta polvere e trucioli. usate sempre le cuffie, fa molto rumore.

Cette machine est bien adaptée pour des assemblages. Nous l'avons utilisée pour la construction d'une réplique d'un Canot royal du premier roi des Belges, Léopold Ier.

Ohne eine andere Nutfräse vorher getestet zu haben, habe ich mich aufgrund der Marke und guten Bewertungen für diese Makita Maschine entschieden. Gestern ist sie angekommen und ich konnte sofort loslegen. Etwas verunsichert hat mich eine der hier aufgelisteten Rezensionen, welche einen grundsätzlichen Schnittversatz in Relation zur eingestellten Schnitttiefe von genau einem Millimeter beschrieb. Nach den ersten Tests mit Restholz, bevor ich mich an mein Projekt begab, kann ich dies nicht nachvollziehen. Gefräst habe ich ein Stück 3,8x5,8 Fichtenholz 2x in die Stirnseite, passend dazu ein Stück 4x8 Fichte 2x in die Längsseite. Die Nut im Stirnholz wollte ich von 1,1 bis 1,5 cm setzen, sowie von 2,3 bis 2,7 cm. Eingestellt habe ich die goldene Mitte am mitgelieferten Anschlag, also 1x auf 1,3 und einmal auf 2,5 cm, da der Fräser 4mm breite Nuten erzeugt. Da es sich um Restholz handelte, hab ich mir nichtmal die Mühe gemacht, den an der Geräteskala eingestellten Anschlag nachzumessen (was ich sonst IMMER mache, auch bei meinen teuren Geräten!). Gefräst, Lamellos eingesetzt, zusammengehalten und es passte alles perfekt! Ich meine nicht gut oder akzeptabel, wie meine zuvor erzielten Ergebnisse mit Holzdübeln und versch. Dübelhilfen ausgefallen sind - ich meine perfekt! Nachgemessen am Holz selber saßen die Fräsnuten genau da, wo ich sie haben wollte! Die allgemeine Verarbeitung der Maschine ist erstklassig und durchdacht, der Wechsel des Fräsers wird, wenn es an der Zeit ist, ein Kinderspiel, da dieser durch die Bodenklappe sehr gut zu erreichen ist. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt geht an die Befestigung des Staubsauger/"Spänefangbeutelanschlusses", welcher sich zu leicht drehen lässt, was beim Arbeiten manchmal leicht störend ist, jedoch arbeite ich in Ermangelung einer adäquaten Werkbank auf dem Boden, weshalb ich das nicht zu sehr gewichte. Sicherlich kann man ein kleines Gummiband o.Ä. um die Befestigung des Stutzens in der Halterung wickeln, dass das Drehen etwas schwergängiger wird. Mein Holzwerkerherzchen lacht Freudentränen und das Einzige, was ich an diesem Kauf bereue ist, dass ich mir dafür so lange Zeit gelassen und mich mit Holzdübelverbindungen geärgert habe! Die Maschine ist jeden Cent wert und ohne Flachdübelfräsen in den hohen Preisklassen getestet zu haben, lehne ich mich so weit aus dem Fenster zu sagen, dass diese Maschine definitiv oben mithalten kann. Wünschenswertes Bonusfeature wäre noch eine Höhenverstellung des Gehrungsanschlags, aber ich bin auch mit der vorhandenen Ausstättung und Präzision mehr als glücklich!
