Ghiant Inkjet Fixative Spray 400ml Gloss

This is absolutely brilliant stuff! I use it to fix and gloss finish inkjet printed CDs and the results are incredible. They make the disc look professionally printed. Expensive stuff, but gives an expensive looking finish!

This product really does what it says on a tin. I used it to overcoat my labels. It works great! It leaves protective layer, its making paper quite waterproof, its easy to use and my labels looks very professional even though they are made at home using cheap old printer. Im very pleased with this item. I just regret I haven't ordered few more cans before the price went up.

Does the job on glossy prints, although correct application is essential for good results. The secret is not to linger with the spray over a particular area as this leads to a variable gloss finish. Although the finished , treated surface retains its glossy appearance, it can feel like a fine sandpaper to the touch. It also consumes the aerosol contents fairly quickly.

Many have said it leaves streak marks and stuff but I haven’t had that experience If you keep 30 cm away, do not stop/hesitate whilst spraying it’s fine Used on some cheap no brand glossy paper, some premium oyster /Pearl stuff Highly recommend

I wanted to try my hand at printing on canvas sheet and fixing the image to make it more permanent. I then coat the image with artist's varnish to protect the surface from wear and incorporate the design in leather items like wallets, purses etc. So far it seems to work out ok but be aware, it has a VERY strong and unusual smell so spray outside if possible.

I THOUGHT THAT USING A SPRAY FOR MY BOOK COVERS WOULD SAVE ME MONEY AND TIME, ALAS THAT WAS NOT TO BE, MY BOOK COVERS WERE PRINTED IN MATT BECAUSE OF MY SPECIAL PAPER. HOWEVER, I KNEW THAT I ONLY WANTED 15 OF MY BOOK COVERS WITH A GLOSS SHEEN AND THE REMAINDER I DID NOT. SO, I SPRAYED ONE AND LET IT DRY, AND REPEATED THE PROCESS UNTIL I WAS SATISFIED WITH THE RESULT, WHICH ALTOGETHER TOOK 5 SPRAYS, THE 15 MATT SHEETS I GAVE 2 SPRAYS, JUST TO SEAL THEM. BY THE TIME I HAD COMPLETED THE FIFTEEN, GLOSS AND 15 MATT I HAD USED 5 TINS OF SPRAY, WHICH WAS QUITE EXPENSIVE. HOWEVER, I WAS HAPPY WITH THE FINISH AND THERE WAS LITTLE DISTORTION OF THE SHEET OF PAPER (210grms). IF I HAD USED LAMINATE INSTEAD OF THE SPRAY IT WOULD HAVE PROBABLY TAKEN ME THE SAME AMOUNT OF TIME, BUT THE LAMINATE ON ONE SIDEOF A SHEET DOES TEND TO DISTORT. ANOTHER DRAW BACK WITH THE SPRAY IS IT DARKENS THE PRINTED SHEET WITH EACH SPRAY APPLICATION.

Great product! Really sealed my ink, which I'd printed on glossy paper. Prior to using this spray no amount of drying stopped it from smudging. Just use in a well ventilated space though.
