Hip, Hip, Hippodrome!
Ben-Hur baby! Charleton Heston would approve. I'm only on level 14 and just started chariot racing in the Hippodrome. Too much fun. This game is fantastic. I'm a professional day trader and as soon as the market closes for the day, I dive back in to the game. The game looks and plays amazing on my 65" 4k curved Samsung. Along with my 7.2 Yamaha receiver and Polk audio speakers, the Xbones One X delivers. If you own a 4k tv, do yourself a favor and invest your money in a One X. You won't be sorry. I'll never buy another game for my ps4, unless it's a ps4 exclusive. As for the game, I've only played two Creeds prior - the very first Creed and Black Flag. Black Flag was outstanding, but Origins, so far, is just great. There is so much to do with all the side missions and quests in the game. You never get bored. The game mechanics for hunting prey, fighting and slaughtering the Egyptian soldiers is extremely satisfying. You just need to make sure your blades are up to par as your leveling. You'll find your favorite weapons and you'll will want to keep and upgrade them as you go. If you're on the fence about getting this game, jump off and buy it!

... it 5 stars does not mean it is a perfect game but
I will start off by saying that even though I gave it 5 stars does not mean it is a perfect game but, it is in the right direction for AC. I will start with the negatives because there are not as many as positives. The game does have a few bugs and glitches however not game breaking. I have come across one that is kind of annoying, where it seems like the game freezes and makes a loud buzzing sound but it only takes a few seconds to get back to the game play, no you don't have to restart the game from what I have experienced. There are a few times where Bayek ( protagonist) gets stuck in a couple parkour animations, which is kind of annoying, but should only take a little movement of the stick to move around again. I also have a little complaint and maybe I am the only one, but Ubisoft please next time don't use white question marks on a yellow background, I understand you had to use yellow for Egypt because of the abundance of sand, but you could have used any other color white or yellow to make the questions marks, hell you could have used the same blue that is already there for the "special" icons. As for the positives, the story is good, not great, but good. It doesn't match up with previous titled stories, however I would put this game in my top three (AC 2, AC Brotherhood, and I would say this ties with Black Flag). It does get better on the latter half of the game, the ending is pretty good (don't worry I will not put huge spoilers in this review). However, the characters in this game make up for the story. Bayek is an amazing character between his jokes and his seriousness, the same goes for his wife Aya. Aya is probably the best written female in the AC universe (I didn't play Liberation so I can't be sure0. The writing in this game is superb, I don't know who voice acted Bayek and Aya but you guys did amazing. I should say that I have put about 60 hours in this game so far and still haven't finished all the side quest and other activities in the game but I did finish the story, but keep in mind that I did very little fast traveling and either walked or rode horseback to get fully immersed in the world Ubisoft created. The change to an RPG is the right direction for the rest of AC and I hope they are not afraid to take more years off for the next, because even though I am a huge AC fan I was starting to get a little fatigued with the series, but now I am definitely on board again if this is the direction AC is taking. The combat will take a little getting used to because they try to teach you the new mechanics of the game at the same time you are trying to fight a "boss". The game is a little difficult, I played on normal difficulty and died plenty, however once you find a good weapon with good stats and you start getting higher in level, it starts to get a little easy however still fun, The skill tree is good however there a few skills that, just by reading the description, seem kind of useless. Since the Trial of the Gods just started, I feel I should post my feelings on it. However fun, the Trial of Anubis is pretty easy once you figure out everything he throws at you. I see a bright future this game and future installments if this is how Ubisoft plans to turn AC into. One last note, Ubisoft please, you did such a great job with Aya, please consider making another game with a Female protagonist. I know we had Liberation and we had Evie in Syndicate, but I feel Jacob had the spotlight. Don't be afraid of the SJW's and Feminists, all they want is attention, as long as you don't over sexualize the character it should be fine.

One of the best ones to date
Amazing game, in terms of gameplay. It's beautiful. Very few loading screens. Huge map. Open. SO much to do. So many treasures, tombs, temples and things to discover. Good attention to detail. Yes, the controls are different, but it's totally fine if you just play for a few hours. Combat is completely different, which is good, because it's a lot more realistic and takes a lot more effort than just hitting "B" the entire time and countering 600 enemies. My only gripe is that the storyline is pretty weak. I was a little disappointed in that. Otherwise, this game is a dream to play! Graphics: 9/10 Combat: 9/10 Map: 10/10 Stuff to do: 10/10 Mysteries and all the goodies: 10/10 Overall gamplay: 9.7/10 Storyline: 5/10 Overall overall: 9.4/10

This is a freakin amazing game!!!Both old timers and even the ones new to AC would absolutely love it.The world is vast and well-detailed just like the story and even the side quests. The frame rate, though, tends to fall to the lower 20s during some cutscenes, but otherwise great! The combat is VERY different from older AC games and is much more immersive.A must buy!!!
