It is okay to run two cars at the same time. For instance: Car A comes with Radio A, and Car B comes with Radio B. If you switch on Car A and Radio B, Radio B will work with Car A as well.

Is it completely waterproof

It is not completely waterproof, but it is water resistant. Basically driving it quickly through a puddle should be okay, but don't let the car sit in water. This will cause the motors and electronics to be surrounded by water, which will definitely short-circuit. Puddles are okay, but not deep water. Be warned.
