Amazing
Absolutely awesome. And as close to perfect as you could expect. We bought this for your garage so we could play out Wii and watch movies. If you’re going to bug this and want to use an external sound system, I highly advise getting one of these: iArkPower HDMI Audio Extractor Splitter HDMI to HDMI + Optical + RCA L/R Stereo Audio Out Supports 3D (1080P) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I9JG70A/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_5ETT9766M3WF2Y27X45X?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 This allows you to pass through the HDMI connector while using component audio direct to your sound system. Picture quality: 5 out of 5 stars. Amazing quality, great brightness and easy keystone controls. Audio: not really fair to judge since I pass the audio through but the built in speaker is nothing to brag about nor should it be.

The clarity of the projection is great. The wireless feature is a bit harder to figure out. We purchased this projector to use it during board meetings so I have not been able to use it outside of a room. In a well lit room, the projection was clear.

Another great Epson projector EX5260
Our last projector was an 81P. We used it 4 hours a week for more than 12 years with maybe 1 re-lamp. Then had to replace due to greening (burning of the UV lens adhesive due to age). The 3,600 lumen vs the deteriorated 2,000 was no comparison. Even the older people in the room made first time statements that they could see all of the wording on the screen. Colors during dark and bright house lighting are nothing short of excellent. Well worth the purchase and less than 1/2 what was paid for the 81P 12 years ago when it was new. Thank you.

Great Projector
Bought this for our church, to run our bulletins, it wasn’t hard to set up and connect with an USB cable, but was very complicated to set up using the WiFi, as the instructions aren’t clear or we were just confused, had to get a computer expert to set it up wireless, after that it was perfect and has been going strong, highly recommend but the WIFi hook up might take you awhile if you are a novice. The reason for the three stars for the remote we have to be about a foot from the projector to control it, our projector is mounted on the ceiling other than that the remote is of good quality and works very well

Refurbished projector works like new!
Could not be more pleased with the Refurbished EX5280 and my movie watching life will never be the same. PLEASE NOTE - The speaker is CRAP and there is no audio out option without a tech bro hack BUT if you have a Roku (or other similar product) that allows for "listening mode" (normally used to connect to headphones for private listening) you can mute the projector and route the Roku sound to a bluetooth speaker.

Poor longevity
This unit only worked for 4 days, I used it 4 times over 4 months when the lamp light and overheating light came on and would not produce a light. I changed the light bulb and the unit did the same thing on the 4th use the unit would run for approx 3-4 min and then the unit would not work and the lights would come on. Of course it has been 3 months so Amazon will not allow it to be returned.

Great picture but no audio out. Boooooo.
This device has a great picture, brightness, and remote. Those are things that amazon requests feedback on. Yay. But sound? It’s as if Epson and amazon don’t think sound and video Have any connection. I don’t understand why, but this projector does not support sound. It has a small speaker which may be acceptable for a small boardroom, but you CANNOT connect this device to an external speaker. Those RCA connectors on the back are for input only and there is no 3.5 mm out anywhere. If you want to use this for anything requiring more than a transistor radio volume, you will need additional hardware of which i have not yet determined. This product category is immature and features are not yet standard. You can choose a personal projector with streaming, audio out, and the brightness of a dull flashlight OR you can pick a projector like this which will light up you back yard even before dusk but is about as smart as a table lamp. You decide but neither will make anyone happy. Epson has a new device which may do both but at 1000 bucks it’s twice as much as this one and out of most people’s budget.

I often use data projectors to do presentations in classroom settings, and recently I have upgraded to the Epson EX5260. This projector has not disappointed in its convenience and quality, and here’s why: Wonderful Color Display: I use a lot of photos in my presentations as they serve to capture audience attention. The Epson EX5260 has assisted me in sharing these photos due to its optimal color display and brightness. I find that it is extremely capable of projecting a high quality image onto the screen without compromising too much of the photos visual integrity. Note: some images hold a greater level of red than would be desired, but this is something that hasn’t bothered me too much due to its performance in the display of other colors and its brightness. Wireless Wifi Connection: You can connect portable devices, such as iPads, iPhones, and tablets, to the projector via wifi. This is done through scanning the onscreen QR code from your device, effectively syncing it to the projector and allowing for greater mobility when presenting. I have found this extremely helpful when presenting in classroom settings as it allows for greater a greater level of interaction with the audience. Good Video Quality: Given that this is a data projector, the quality of the video would not be (and should not be) sufficient for a home theater. However, in the event that you want to share a video with your office team or a classroom, it is extremely capable of getting the job done. I was impressed with its video display performance in comparison to other projectors I have used in the past. Overall, I have found this projector to perform above expectations for its price point. Given that it is more affordable than other projectors of its kind, it lacks features such as a variety of ports used to connect devices and strong audio. The lack of these features have not stood in my way so far, and in the event that they became a problem it is always possible to buy adapters or speakers to solve these issues. I would highly recommend this to others looking for an affordable, quality projector for a medium sized office or classroom.

Epson has really impressed me lately I never quite knew that all there products were such incredible top quality when compared to HP, Dell, Cannon, Lexmark, etc. From there smart network printers, scanners and to these incredible, top notch projectors!!! 1 and only 1 draw back, doesn't include an hdmi cable, but not a big deal for sure. The positives of this new miracast line from Epson is incredible! If you don't already know miracast unlike airplay is a cross platform industry standard for wireless casting/projecting without the need of a cable or even connecting to your own wireless network! For the miracast, it includes a wireless dongle to project, see attached photo. And also gives the ability to do a direct wifi connection over WPA2 between your device and the projector. The time and detail Epson went into refinements on these are clearly prominent. For example, the remote it comes with blasts it's IR to either of the front or back IR ports. Which is great for rooms that it's mounted on a ceiling and you could only hit one of the 2 IR spots because of the mounting. So front and back is very nice. Not only that, but in the settings they even let you turn off these IR spots individually. Top notch! The remote is comprehensivly designed and includes batteries. The picture is 720p+ and is very bright even in the daytime with lots of windows. Having used other projectors this is the brightest I've seen, In person without being told the lumen count prior. It comes with a nice carrier with strap and coupons for Epsons web site. This model also comes with a fairly long power cord and a good size VGA cable. Quite honestly I'm incredibly impressed with Epson incrementally pushing the industry forward with too notch highly polished smart technology products. I've completly moved away from HP as I'm truly happy and delighted with Epsons new product lines. Stunning Great Quality!!!

The most important thing to be aware of with the EX5260 is the output resolution. It's low at 1024x768, 4:3 aspect ratio projector. I understand the 4:3 aspect ratio as many screens already in use outside of the home are sized to this ratio but I don't understand the low resolution at this point in time. PCs even in slow moving business environment have moved to higher resolutions for years and I feel like 1600x1200 should probably be the minimum target for this aspect ratio. That being said, perhaps this is a compromise to get a projector as bright as this one is in at the price point that it is at so I'm going to chalk this up to it is what it is and not score against the resolution treating the relatively high brightness as canceling it out in the end. If you're looking at this projector with the mind of playing almost any kind of video content on it, you might want to think twice unless you need the brightness (lit environment) and can't spend any more. Brightness of this projector is extremely good I can easily see the projected image even in a brightly lit room, colors don't suffer much in a bright setting but understandably the blacks are washed out though no projector can do anything about this. The brightness of the projector is by far the biggest selling point of the projector at this price point and eclipses most other projectors in the price range meant for higher resolution content. I see little reason outside of the specific presentation features offered by the projector to choose this projector for a darkened environment even for business use but the high brightness and contrast of the EX5260 makes it an easy choice if you know you need to use the projector in a lit room or at larger distances and bigger screen sizes. Image quality and sharpness in general is also really good, taking into account the resolution limitations. Though the resulting reproduction is pixelated it remains very sharp and focused. The included wifi adapter can only connect to 2.4 GHz which is a shame in nearly 2018 when many of us are moving or have moved to a 5Ghz wifi network. Still, it connected no problem with my access point on a different floor and the speed was more than fine for anything you can do with it (which amounts to, mostly, streaming still images/documents). The only way I could see that you can utilize the wireless is via the iProjection app. The most useful feature of iProjection is that you can use the eye projection app as a remote for the projector which is helpful. You can use it to stream over various common document types and images and both it and the projector do a respectable job of displaying them clearly even if the source document is in a much higher resolution than the projector can display. One big disappointment is that I think the iProjection app screen mirroring is nearly useless on a modern high-end smartphone with a high-resolution screen. The mirrored image is usually way too grainy and pixelated to see any text due to the low resolution of the projector, I kind of just gave up on screen mirroring with my phone (Android / Essential Phone PH-1) even though it technically worked well. Just for fun, knowing this is not what this type of projector is for I connected a Chromecast Ultra using the HDMI input and quality of videos and movies is okay but understandably not great due to the native resolution of the projector. HD content is downscaled acceptably well considering how low it has to go. Using a Chromecast as the "wireless" bridge to the projector will let you wirelessly play video as well as do almost all of the things the included Epson wifi adapter will let you do content wise, and in some cases does them in a superior and more flexible way, however the iProjection app does do a better job of tailoring the type of content that business is more interested in. Noise level of the projectors low. Even sitting right beside the projector I barely noticed it was operating, the fan is continuous as any projector with a proper bulb in it will be but I found the noise level to be superior to that of my home theatre projector. I don't think anybody will find this projector to be noisy. Adjustment of the projector is good with three points of adjustment physically on the projector, 2ft on either rear corner as well as one main leveling leg on the front. All the usual screen correction features like Keystone correction were correctly and overall it was easy to get a square projection of the correct size. The adjustment settings are better than my home theater projector, overall.

tl:dr - very bright and vivid projector but lacking in a few key areas The brightness from this projector is amazing, especially when comparing against the budget projectors I've used in the past. experience is awesome since the display is bright, the text is crisp and the fan noise while audible, isn't too bad. Throw distance is very good and had manually adjustable zoom and focus. The Keystone and tilt functions are both done digitally which is pretty neat; the keystone is done automatically as you tilt the projector but will only correct to the limit of the built in riser. When you download the associated application, you can scan a QR code to connect and start either a screen mirroring session from your phone or display some other pictures, presentations, etc... Again the team developing the mobile apps for Epson have done an excellent job and it is especially handy for quickly getting ready for presentations without having to fiddle with cables or adapters. There are issues I have with this projector in my limited time with the unit. First and foremost; the wireless functionality is only available via an included USB dongle. Since there is only one USB-A port on this unit, if you choose to use the wireless display dongle, you would not be able to use USB Storage to view pictures or power something like a Chromecast from the projector itself. This poses issues with certain installs so be mindful of the use cases. There is hardware to permanently mount the WiFi dongle to the machine as well which would exacerbate the problem of not simply integrating this functionality to the projector itself. Secondly, the interface for the projector settings is like walking back in time... except for QR connecting then I mentioned above; the interface is a big mess of buried text only menus. The projector also didn't recognize any media that I had plugged in on a USB drive I had handy, but I have not done an exhaustive test against every codec or format under the sun nor have I tried to connect to a PC via a USB cable. Lastly, and the most disappointing for me, would be the built in speaker. The distortion and clipping is simply horrendous at volumes loud enough to fill a medium size room.. it is barely adequate to drown out the cooling fan itself. I own cheaper projectors that have better speakers included for a fraction of the price of the EX5260 To sum up my thoughts, If you are only looking to use this for projecting pictures / presentation; this will be great and you will be very happy! The included travel bag and integrated lens protector are great features and will mean you will never lose another lens cap ever again. That being said, don't even think of using this for movies unless you have a separate sound system or portable speakers (for the price and situation, a large FHD TV may be the best for those instances anyway).

This wireless capable projector is pretty great! It would be more suitable for office and presentation use than at home, in my opinion. Colors are fantastic, setup is a breeze, but it the wireless capabilities are not the best, and the speaker is quite lacking. We have just used this in a bedroom at home for movies connected to a laptop, and I have also tested the wireless features. For showing movies and pictures this projector is absolutely wonderful, it is beyond what I expected for brightness and I have to say I am quite impressed. Colors are vivid, details are visible and text is sharp - I couldn't ask for more when it comes to the picture. I have connected to the laptop via HDMI, and it is essentially plug and play. Turn on the projector, plug in the cable, and you're set. Connecting wirelessly is a good experience as well, as you scan a QR code and setup is done for you and you essentially mirror the screen of your phone. Great for presentations, however because this is creates a LAN network, you have no internet access - which means no streaming YouTube from your phone, you're better off connecting some type of device for steaming media. The only other gripe I have about this projector is the speakers. They are very tinny and distort at full volume. The fans are not too loud but the speakers cannot be set too much louder without significantly distorting the quality. To get rid of this problem, I recommend connecting your laptop or streaming device to a bluetooth speaker and enjoying from there. Overall this is an awesome projector, and would be great in any office and most home setups. If you're prepared for the audio quality, then there should be no surprises, but as noted above, the picture quality is top notch.
