Modern Quarter Turn Angle Stop Valve 304 Stainless Steel Faucet Triangle Valve 1/2" G Thread Lead Free

These shutoffs are beautifully manufactured, high quality stainless steel with top notch finish and ceramic cartridge. Just a quarter turn from on to off. I highly recommend these for anyone looking for upscale hardware. Time will tell if the cartridges wear well but, after a lifetime of seeing the standard american chrome shutoff leak or freeze up or fail to turn off or on, these shutoffs are a dream. Beware however that they are 1/2" G thread, that's a standard in China. American plumbing is usually NPT thread, does not fit G. So you will need a 1/2" nipple to convert the G to NPT where the fitting meets American wall plumbing (such as a standard drop ear 1/2" female). You will also need a nipple to convert the 1/2" G thread outlet too whatever matches your toilet or sink feed line. i also recommend mounting your receiving plumbing at a proper depth in the wall to account for the added length of the conversion nipple to be hidden in the wall and not seen after the trim ring is attached (see my photos). All of the conversion nipples I mention are available on Amazon, so not a problem but be aware.

I used this product to attach a water supply (hot and cold, mixed with a different product - a Sloan 3326009 mixing valve) from under my sink to a bidet sprayer. I mounted this item on the side of the under-sink vanity. It operates smoothly each time, and doesn't give any indication that it's wearing, which tells me that the ceramic valve inside is of good quality. It provides a definitive on/off, which is what I was looking for. The item itself is of a clean and attractive design. Before installation, you should make sure you know the difference between 1/2" NPT (which your faucet fittings and hoses from the hardware store use) and the G1/2 European fittings that this valve uses. My bidet is also G1/2, so that's perfect - but I had to purchase an adapter (G1/2 F to 1/2" NPT M) to connect to my American plumbing on the supply side. No problem, just something to know. Another trick I used is to put a couple of washers behind the trim plate, so that when I tightened the fitting down from the inside of the vanity it didn't compress the trim. This worked out well.

Okay so here is what I am using this for: Toto W152M wall hung, in wall toilet carrier -> "1/2” G Thread (BSP) Female to 1/2” NPT Male Connector" -> this spigot -> 1/2 bidet filter -> 1/2 bidet line -> novita bidet. This fits absolutely perfectly and the water filter does not leak even when just hand tightened. I tried a 1/2 NPT spigot from HD and it would not work properly, leaking when bidet filters were attached. This is likely because Asian countries use the 1/2 BSP instead of NPT standard. I am super happy I found this. It looks super clean compared to what I had previously.
