A Great Way to Balance Sodium
I had never heard of "NoSalt" or used a sodium free alternative before, but I decided to give this a try. It is actually really helpful for balancing out your sodium intake. It gives you the flavor you are looking for without adding to your daily limit. It is a simple switch that makes a big difference in your diet. If you are watching your sodium levels and need a good substitute, this is definitely worth picking up.

I Really Like this Item
I will try to be as honest as possible because I depend on other people's reviews and feel I want to help the best I can: I have pre-hyper tension, which means I take a small dose of blood pressure meds daily, but that is enough to keep my readings as normal. But if I do not also watch what I eat, I will have High Blood Pressure in full. SALT seems to be the main thing that my Doctor warns me of, because I do not eat much of the other obvious things like FATS and GREASE and SUGARS. So I decided to give this a try. Not soon enough to see a difference on my readings, and I don't usually add much salt anyway because most foods are already salty enough. But I can make these comments. I find it taste pretty much like regular salt. BUT it is very fine making it easy to OVER Salt with NO SALT. It is also a tiny bit more powerful or "salty" than regular salt, so my warning is TAKE IT EASY until you figure out how much works for your taste buds. It does not require as many shakes of the shaker to get the desired results. Too much and it will taste salty. I Recommend. Good Luck.

Healthy option to sodium.
I love that I have this option to reduce my salt intake. It doesn't taste like salt. It tastes slightly different. So it may take a little acclimation. The nice thing is that it can replace salt in baking with little if any difference in taste. I will continue to use this to improve my health.

Incredible if it is truly sodium free, because it really tastes salty!
Assuming this is truly sodium free, it loses a star only because it is incredibly fine and pours out of the over sized holes in this container way too fast and too much. Makes my food taste extremely salty because of that, so it needs a more standard type of salt shaker ... otherwise it is great.

This is the salt substitute that you want!
This is the salt substitute that you want. Most other potassium-based salt substitutes only include one type of potassium (potassium chloride), which tend to be bitter and leave a bad aftertaste, which renders it ultimately unusable. This one contains Potassium Bitartrate (cream of tartar), which tends to make a significant difference taste wise. Does it taste exactly like salt? Nope. But, it’s very tolerable on its own. What is important to know is that we do need salt to live, but our potassium-to-sodium intake ratio has flipped upside-down, so unless you absolutely have to exclude sodium, I recommend doing the following: Mix 5 parts of NoSalt to 1 part regular salt (preferably a natural salt, like Redmond’s) and put that into your shaker or salt cellar. It’ll provide just enough ‘real’ salt flavor that you’ll think that you’re using regular salt, or at least pretty close to it. Up it up to 2 parts of salt if necessary, which will still go a long way in upping your potassium intake. On a side note, Walmart used to have their own brand and version of this product, but it seems to have been discontinued. If you should ever find that, it is much cheaper, but has the exact same ingredients.

Tastes like salt-ish
This actually tastes like salt, but sort of in the same way that stevia tastes like sugar.

Salt shaker holes WAY TOO BIG!!!
It tastes like the right KCl and so on, but the "salt shaker holes" in the top of the container are basically 10 times the diameter they should be, and 100 times the surface area to be useful. If you try to shake potassium chloride onto your food using this container as an applicator, you will saturate and way way oversalt it. How can something so easily fixed and so obviously wrong be done to a product??? It's a simple thing, but it basically makes the product useless as is. You need to buy another product to be able to apply this salt substitute!

Great salt substitute.
This is a great salt substitute is on potassium chloride instead of sodium. Works for everything cooking, eating , boiling pasta, etc. This is a good size container as well so it’s endless they having to open up a new one and its use is about the same in volume as the salt that you buy in the grocery store
